of Little Rock, AR
August 25, 1942 - May 12, 2021
The life of the party, Jerry Lynn Chandler "Nana" passed away on May 12, 2021 at 78 years young.
Jerry was born August 25, 1942 to Edna Lorene Chandler and Edgar Jarrell Bivens. She grew up in Guy, Arkansas on a dairy farm, raised by her grandmother, which undeniably sparked her hard work ethic and love for cows at a young age. She went on to graduate from Central High School in Little Rock in 1960.
Jerry defied all odds against her as a woman in 1985 with a business idea that would later become a three generational family company called Arkansas Ostomy, Inc. She went from barely making ends meet raising her three children to comfortably leaving the business operations to her daughter Jane so she could hit the golf course. Jerry was not just a fan of the game, but a champion golfer who was an advocate for women and junior girls' golf. She was proud to be the first woman to serve on the Board of Governors at Pleasant Valley Country Club.
Jerry was a sports fanatic, all-time Christmas decorator, craft extraordinaire, lover of Chardonnay and all things sparkly, incredible southern comfort cook, and so much more in which words do no justice. Jerry's legacy is her joyful and contagious spirit that lit up every room she marched in. Anyone lucky enough to have met Nana knows she absolutely treasured life and surrounded herself with people she loved. Never missing an opportunity to gather, Jerry's open-door policy allowed her to build close relationships with neighbors and friends. Everyone that knew her is better because of it.
Jerry is immensely loved and missed by her family, including her children Jane (Ted) English, James (Camille) Carson, Joseph (Stacey) Carson, grandchildren Carrie (Jacob) Lee, Justin Carson, Heather (Eric) Botteicher, Jarred Carson, Clayton Carson, Olivia (Kaleb-fiance') Witcher, Austin Carson, Kaylee Carson and great-grandchildren Jackson, Jace, Bella, and Maggie.
Jerry's celebration of life will be held on Monday May 17, 2021 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home,13801 Chenal Parkway Little Rock, AR 72211. Visitation will be at 1:00pm with service to follow at 2:00pm. To honor her vivacious spirit and fullness of life, those in attendance are encouraged to wear bright colors and as Nana always said, "Don't forget the bling."
I'm so sorry and sad to see this news. I really enjoyed my time spent with Jerry. Accept my condolences and prayers for the family!
In Love,
Ralph Shuster

I knew Jerry from Western Hills Country Club. We were both involved in Ladies Golf Assoc. I always liked her. RIP Lady.
Aunt Jerry I love and will miss you so much! I will never forget the first time I met you. I was working with daddy by your house off Markham. Daddy sent me to ask you for water. He told me it would be fine that you was my aunt, his sister. I felt so awkward introducing myself as your niece and asking you for water! You took me in and treated me like I had always known you. I will miss you so much! I love you - Blenda Bivens Koder
I'm sad.
Love to the family and friends that will miss her
You brought joy into the lives of all who were lucky enough to know you.

We were so shocked to see Jerry's obituary! She was a faithful follower of (my husband) Bill's and my Sunday morning music program on Facebook. She always, always left sweet comments. She commented as late as LAST WEEK. Jerry was married to my first cousin from my dad's family (the Camps) at one time. I expect she was a grand force in your family and made many happy memories for you. We know you are missing her. Bill and I will miss her comments, for sure. May God bless you and give you peace in the coming days.
