Lillian Boen Hogue, age 87, left this earthly home and entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 8, 2021. She was born November 4, 1933 in Mayflower, AR to James L. and Jewel Speights.
She was a nurse for over 45 years and loved her patients and they all loved her. She loved to travel, read, and do jigsaw puzzles which were always given to family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton for over 50 years and a member of the Sanctuary Choir.
Mrs. Hogue was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James L. Speights, Jr. and Wendell Speights; two sisters, Jo Ann Riggan and Yvonne Mills; son-in-law, Calvin Turbyfill; daughter-in-law, Pam Cash; granddaughter, Nicole Cash, and husbands, Delbert Boen and Dr. Paul Hogue.
Survivors include her children, Debbie Turbyfill, Randy Cash (K), Lorna Higgins (Bill), and Leonard Boen (Laurie), step daughter, Phyllis Boen, 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and beloved friends.
She loved her family dearly and was always there to help. We know we'll all be together again one day.
A time of visitation will be held Wednesday May 12, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (315-4047).
Her grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
Graveside funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 13th at Smith-New Rosemont Cemetery in Benton with Father Russ Snapp officiating.
Our sympathy to Lillian's family. We always enjoyed talking to Lillian on our visits to Benton over the years. Since we have not been to Benton in recent years, we stayed in contact by phone, email, and US mail. She was a fighter and loved life. We will miss her.
My heart breaks at this news. Lillian was a fighter, a believer, and the nicest person. We shared our journeys through cancer, and I know she is at rest and peace. Condolences to the family.

Lillian visited us in West Virginia several years ago. She was jolly and funny with a beautiful smile.. Felt like a part of our family... Such a living person. Love and prayers to Randy and the other family members. May God give you His peace during this most difficult time. She's rejoicing in heaven now and completely healed.
Lillian was an awesome lady. It was an honor to have known her. My prayers are with the family.

I am going to miss my dear, dear friend but will have fond memories of our book discussions, lunch dates and long telephone conversations as I drove back and forth to Missouri. Lorna, you have honored your mother greatly in the care and assistance you have provided these past years.
I am saddened to know of the loss of my friend, Lillian. I loved her so much. She was such a sweet person and I enjoyed being with her. To her family, I am so sorry and I am thinking of you all during this difficult time. May we have been blessed by knowing and loving her.
