Freddie Ray Williams, 75, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at his home in West Helena, Arkansas. He was born January 24, 1946 in Aubrey, Arkansas to the late Elzie Otto Williams and Marion Ruth (Hamilton) Williams.
Mr. Williams married Ginger Berry of Marvell, AR on June 5, 1965 before being drafted (February 1966) into the army. He served in the Vietnam War until he received an honorable discharged in November of 1967. He then settled down in Poplar Grove, AR with his wife where they had and raised their two children and his favorite coon dog, Sweet Sue.
Freddie enjoyed coon hunting and fishing, playing with his grandchildren and picked up every hitchhiker from Marvell to Poplar Grove because it was his way of helping. Over the years he had many jobs from auto mechanic to farming, but retired from Farmer Supply Company in 2006.
He is survived by one sister, Robbie Whitefield of Memphis, Tennessee; one son, Ray Williams of Lexa, Arkansas; one daughter, Gayla Williams of West Helena, Arkansas; four grandchildren: Whitney Ray Holland (Opie) of West Helena, Brittany Lynne Davis (Ryan) of Lexa, Jared Nathan Williams (Haley) of Moro, and Christine Elizabeth Marsh of Hardy; nine Great grandchildren: Keaton Cothren, Tagan Livingston, Landon Holland, Laniee Holland, Lexi Davis, Lizzy Marsh, Nate Marsh, Avery Marsh, and one great granddaughter that will make her entrance into this world June 2021, Harper Williams; one granddog: Bridget Williams; and two great granddogs: Diesel Williams and Cheeto Davis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 41 years, Ginger (Berry) Williams, five brothers, and three sisters.
A graveside service for Mr. Williams will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 19, 2021 at Frank's Cemetery in Holly Grove, Arkansas. Brother Lance Madden will officiate.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to your family. I always remember Mr. Freddie as being a sweet man, always with a smile, and loved his family. Ray, you and Whitney will always be family to us and know we are here for you all. We love you! Keaton will always have a wonderful Grandpa keeping watch over him with the angels!
