Mary Ann Pirtle, 72, of Jonesboro, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at her home. She was born September 4, 1948 in Jonesboro to Bill and Winnie (McVay) Simino. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist belief. She loved quilting, cooking, and most of all, raising her grandbabies.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 53 years, Jesse Wayne Pirtle; a great grandchild, Kylan Robins; three sisters and six brothers.
Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of Mary Ann include her son, Billy (Sue) Pirtle; four daughters, Tammy (Paul) Eastworth, Lisa (Paul) Wortham, Kim (Steve) Smith and Tellisa (Nathan) Taylor; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren with one on the way; and a sister, Linda Gray.
A graveside service will be 11:30 am Friday at Nettleton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro preceding the service.
Aaron, Chadwick, Steve Wortham, Alex Smith, Greg Pirtle, Johnny Pirtle and Dylan Wilmoth will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests lasting memorials be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1148 East Matthews Avenue, Jonesboro, AR 72401 in honor of Mary Ann.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I just now saw this. Your mom was a wonderful person. I know she sure loved all of u. I'll sure keep all of u in my prayers. She was always a great sister-in-law to me. My dear friend, Tellisa ... I'm so sorry for your loss. We used to talk about our Moms when we worked together and I know it helped me thru my loss. I'm hoping that, with time, your pain will ease. I wish I could say it goes away, but - well, you know. Hugs and love to you and your family.
