Jimmy Hayes Yeager, age 85, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 12, 2021. He was born January 10, 1936 in Lexington, Mississippi to the late Inez Grantham Yeager and David Yeager. Jimmy was a member of Church of God of Prophecy, a truck driver for over 24 years and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an auxiliary deputy sheriff for Phillips County with the civil defense for many years.
He is survived by his two sons, Ricky Yeager of Walls, Mississippi and Chris Yeager, Sr. (Tina) of West Helena, Arkansas; daughter, Sharon Yeager Griffin (Steve) of Lexa, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Anthony Yeager, Kelli Mallard, Candice Griffin, Amanda Holt, Jeremy Newsom, Tyler Yeager, Christopher Yeager and Daniel Yeager; 16 great grandchildren; seven great- great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Pauline Yeager; parents; two brothers, Mac Yeager and Harvey Yeager; sister, Gladys Gregory.
A funeral service for Mr. Jimmy Hayes Yeager will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Roller-Citizens Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Brother Robert Davis will officiate.
Pallbearers are Tyler Yeager, Christopher Yeager, Michael Yeager, Jeremy Newsom, Tony Yeager and Terry Mallard.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

Pawpaw I miss u so much I don’t understand why , why we couldn’t have u longer why did that day go like it did I tried so hard to do cpr and I never stopped until the emt made me I tried so hard to keep u here I need my Pawpaw so bad I got my birds tattoos for you ,nanny , aunt bev , mom and Shannon you was our rock or soul , I can’t explain how much we love and miss u I miss driving down the road and seeing u driving 35 and miss hunting and fishing with u miss our laughs and miss u just coming by checking on u
So sorry to hear of the passing of Jimmy. He was a fine man. I always enjoyed his adventures he told me.

Pawpaw it’s not enough space to even begin to tell you how much your gonna be missed and how much you taught us you taught us to hunt, fish, gardening , your love for your family I’ve never seen a man in my life love his family and protected his family the way you did , have fun dancing with nanny I know y’all are both smiling looking down saying look what we’ve made
