Shirley Raye Arnold

of Locust Grove, AR

April 18, 1947 - April 10, 2021

Shirley Raye Arnold, 73, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at her home on April 10, 2021 while in the presence of her loved ones.

Shirley was born April 18, 1947 in Vanndale, Arkansas to Jesse and Amy (Ballard) Bennett.

Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother who worked really hard all her life but she enjoyed working in the yard amongst her flowers and just being outside. She had a huge heart and took care of everyone. Shirley had that special ability to connect with people and touch their lives in a meaningful way with her generous and loving heart, so much that people called her ''Momma Shirley''. Her smile and laughter were infectious and she cared deeply for her friends and family. She fought and won many health battles over the past eight years, but it was finally time to rest and go home to the Lord.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Dan Reynolds; one daughter, Jo (Derrick) Spinks; two step-daughters, Samijo (Bobby) Simmons, and Sheila Reynolds; one brother, Mack (Lynn) Bennett; two sisters, Florine Bennett, and Jean Sledge; five grandchildren, Bobbi Arnold, Shalee Kelley, Shanna Smith, Stasha Simmons, and Stephen Musser; and four great-grandchildren, Kayden, Emma, Lee, and Sophia.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bobby Joe Arnold; son, Robert Arnold; along with numerous brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers are Bobby Simmons, Darren Spinks, Kevin Smith, Kobe Conklin, and Kyle Conklin. Honorary pallbearer is Mack Bennett.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 2pm at the Oak Grove Church with Darvin Carlton officiating. Burial will follow at Phillips Cemetery in Wolf Bayou.

Visitations will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.
