David Michael Sprinkle

of Bono, AR

September 5, 1950 - April 11, 2021

David Michael Sprinkle, 70, of Bono, departed this life and entered his heavenly home on April 11th at NEA Baptist Hospital with his family by his side. He will always be remembered for his endearing smile and kindness. He was born on September 5, 1950 in Walnut Ridge, AR to the late Vestal and Nettie Sprinkle. He retired from Arkansas State University as Job Construction Coordinator at Facilities Management.

He was of the Southern Baptist Faith, was baptized at Fisher Street Baptist Church, and loved the Lord. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He made it his life's responsibility to always work hard and be the provider for his family. He was fun, loving, and kind.

He is preceded in death by his oldest sister, Phyllis Sprinkle, and his parents, Vestal and Nettie Sprinkle. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gayle Sprinkle of Jonesboro, AR: his beloved son, Michael Sprinkle and his beloved daughter-in-law, Sara Sprinkle; his grandchildren, Madison, Hailey, and Gavin Sprinkle all of Spring Hill, Tennessee. His grandchildren lovingly referred to him as "Pappie". He also leaves behind brothers, Phil, Roger, and Randall Sprinkle of Rogers, Arkansas; as well as his nephews, Phillip (Noah), Aaron, and Dallas Sprinkle; and niece, Rachel Williams all from Rogers, AR. He also leaves behind Beth and Allen Abraham, nieces, Christina, Allie, Meagan, and Katye; sister-in-law, Cathy Anderson of Valparaiso, IN; June Jolly, who is like a mother to me and Reverend Jerry Jolly of Paragould, AR.

The funeral service will be held at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home at 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro on Thursday, April 15th at 11AM. Officiating will be done by Rev Jerry Jolly. Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery.

Visitation will precede the service from 10 am to 11 am.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation in David Sprinkle's name be made to the Alzheimers Association, https://www.alzark.org/give. The family would like to also extend their sincere thanks to the CVU nurses and technicians on the 3rd floor at the NEA Baptist Hospital and the Elite Hospice team.

We worked with David for many years at ASU. Enjoyed hearing his stories, especially about his family. He always had a big grin that covered his face and the twinkling eyes when he talked about all of you. He had such pride of family. We are so sorry for your loss. Janis & Lynn Cook

Mrs Sprinkle amd Mike
David helped me learn so many things especially when I was remolding my bathroom the first time. I have a thing, I ask him how, then go home and do it.
I always aprrectiated his willingness to teach me.

Gayle and Micheal I want to express my deepest sympathy for you two as well as other family members. I know David thought about the love that he had for you 2 like no other. Gayle 48 YEARS, that tells us what a strong marriage you guys had. The last time I seen Dave was at NEA in 2014 visiting Uncle Joe before he passed and saying we were going to have to have reunions other than at funerals. Yet 7 years later here we are! I have been having medical issues so therefore I can not make the trip BUT YOU ALL WILL BE IN MY PRAYERS. Sincerely, David & Kay Friend.
