Sammie Shields, 41, of Norfork, Arkansas passed away on April 4, 2021, in Galveston, Texas. He was born on February 3, 1980, to Michael Shields and Sandi Phillips in Yellville, Arkansas.
Sammie enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Monica (Tankersley) Shields; one son, Mason Liam Shields; one daughter, Marlee Ryan Shields; father, Michael Shields (Lynn); sister, Sherri Keiter (Steven) ; brothers: PJ Shields (Tonya) and Michael Shields (Shannon); step sisters: Carrie Steedman and Lisa Steedman Torres; in laws: Rex and LaVonda Rea, and Harold and Rita Tankersley; nieces: Shalimar, Kelsey, Alicia, Alexandra, and Zana; nephews: Donovan, Preston, Landon, Jay and Bryce.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandi Lynn Phillips; step father, Charles (Speed) Phillips and by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Roller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021, at Norfork River Resort, 13386 Hwy. 5 South, Norfork., AR. Interment will follow at Galatia Cemetery.
