I have had the privilege and honor to work with George in Scouting. His gusto for life was infectious. He made me want to work harder and accomplish more. He and Linda "seemed" tireless in everything they pursued from scouting, school, church and many, many civic duties. I was in awe of all they accomplished. They raised 4 wondefully loving children. His life here on earth was tragically short. I have lost a dear friend. God has gained an incredibly faithful angel.

It has been an honor to call George a friend. He was a man of many talents but his leadership role working for and with young people is a great gift that he gave to all who knew him. We know God's timing is perfect and someday we will understand. I guess God needed George for some special purpose. He may be gone from us but he will always be with us.

George was the nicest man, always thinking of others, loved his family and friends and his church. He was my sons boy scout leader and friend. George and my dad served together in the knights of Columbus. George always looked after my dad at the functions and my dad thought alot of George. George had come to visit dad the day before my dad passed, dad was so happy to see him. That was George, always thinking of others. The good Lord called his angel home and he will be missed by so many! Linda, Robbie, Phillip and Jill and their families and all the family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. with love, linda grady

If you Google the “The definition of a Great Man” the first thing to pop up...

“With a positive attitude, people will want to be around him and to have fun around him. A good man will be happy with his life and the world around him and he will want to look out for others and to help them.”

This was George Latus. He made the world a better place and those around him want to be better as well. He was truly one of the good ones! And now he is in Heaven making it even more beautiful.

The Edmonds family members are keeping the entire Latus family in our thoughts and prayers as you are facing this tremendous loss.

Mrs. Linda, we hope you are surrounded with as much love and support as you always so freely give. We are here for you anytime for any need.

Love, Adam, Mandi, Connor, Ally, and Kate

My son and I have been the beneficiary of George’s love of Boy Scouting activities. Many have experienced this. And, he has helped many young men reach their goal to Eagle. George was a great family man and civic leader. I worked by his side as a school board member. I loved him and will miss him. RIP my friend.
