I'll always remember going to Uncle Bert's as a child. He was a wonderful man and he will be forever in our hearts. Praying for you all!
I remember Bert, as J. C. Shelton's brother. J.C. was married to my sister Pauletta, until her death. I know that Bert was respected in Marion, as a police officer. It takes a special person to serve the community, as he did. We are sorry for your loss. May God bless you all as you are going through this time.

Bert was not only a good officer but also a good friend. Rest well brother.
Bert was not only a work colleague prior to his long deserved retirement, he was my cousin. I worked with Berts department from time to time on case's and always looked for my cousin when my travels brought me to this department. After his retirement I didn't see Bert much, but the Great thing about my family is the never ending bond in our hearts. We don't have to see each other to feel the love of family. I love bert now and forever as always. Prayers for healing for his family.

Burt was a good man and a friend. We worked together a lot while on the police department. He was actually the person who talked me into applying back in 1982. My oldest daughter passed last month and now she has another friend with her
Bert was my buddy from the day I met him, he was a pseudo Grandfather to my boys and a source of strength for me always.
