May 14, 1934 - April 2, 2021
Betty Jo Lockerby, age 86 of Oxley, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, April 2nd, 2021 at her home. She was born in Oxley, Arkansas on May 14th, 1934 to Alton "Doc" Passmore and Neva Emma Kuykendall Passmore.
Betty was employed at Flintrock Shirt Factory for forty plus years before her retirement to her home in Oxley. She loved to be outdoors, that is where she was content and happy. She raised her three children on her own (with Bart's help). She was her family's hero and the strongest woman alive in their eyes.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Neva Passmore; two brothers, Hendrix Passmore and Larry "Pete" Passmore; and one sister, Barbara "Bart" Passmore.
Survivors include her children, Charlotte (Tommy) Jolly of Dennard, Cheryl Gawer of Oxley and Edward Lockerby of Leslie; four granddaughters, Shawna, Breanna, Amber and Katherine; one grandson, John Paul; two great-granddaughters, Scarlett and Abby; three great-grandsons, Dalton, Hayden and Riley; one great-great grandson, Karter; two sisters, Bernell (James) Adams of Oxley and Emma (Ronald) Morrison of Campbell; two brothers, Daniel Passmore of Leslie and Corbet (Lois) Passmore of Parkin; and numerous (too many to count) nieces and nephews who will miss her presence dearly.
Graveside services for Betty will be 3:00 PM Sunday, April 4th, 2021 at Kuykendall Cemetery near Oxley with Bro. Tommy Jolly and Bro. Gary Ragland officiating. Bearers will be John Paul, Hayden, Riley, Dalton, Dustin, Daniel and Johnny; at Betty's request, her granddaughters will serve as honorary bearers, Shawna, Breanna, Amber and Katherine. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to the Kuykendall Cemetery Fund at Simmons Bank in Marshall, Arkansas.
