Birchel Leon Hedden, 70, of Sherwood, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021. He was born to the late James and Lula Hedden on March 4, 1951 in Borger, Texas.

Birchel was a dedicated family man who adored his grandchildren. He knew the value of hard work and always loved a good project. Birchel loved racecars and even built an engine for one that raced on Beebe Speedway. He loved working with his hands and there wasn't a thing he couldn't fix.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Debra Hedden; sons, Michael Johnson, Jr. (Shauna), and Birchel Hedden, Jr.; daughters, Heather Johnson, Lynette Howlett (Ian), and Lisa Hedden; grandchildren, Anthony Humphrey, Hayden, Jaden, Quinton, Mary, Brody, Poppy, and Xavier Johnson; Quint and Lily Scruggs; and Jess, Amy, and William Howlett; and sister, Juanita Wilson.

Birchel is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sky Johnson.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 2, at 11:00 A.M. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock. A visitation will be held one-hour prior to services.

Due to COVID restrictions, all attendees are required to provide and wear their own masks.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, or Jacksonville Animal Shelter in Birchel's honor.
