John Edward Houpt, Jr., 79, passed away at his home in Bauxite, Arkansas on March 30, 2021. He was the loving husband of the late Anna Houpt. Born March 4, 1942, in Little Rock, John was the son of the late Lyda Mae Carson Houpt and John E. Houpt, Sr. Prior to retirement, John was a machinist for Jacuzzi Brothers.

John is survived by his daughter, Tracy Houpt; brother, Robert (Barbara) Houpt; and grandchildren, Tiffie and Zackery Dawn. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Ebbony and Kimberly Houpt; sisters, Mary Houpt and Joyce Winborne; and brothers John Houpt and Paul Winborne.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 12:00 noon, Monday, April 5 at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Rd., Benton, AR. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Hwy. 5 N, Alexander, AR.

Due to Covid-19, visitors are encouraged to wear their face masks.

worked with John many many years at jacuzzi bros. and Coors. very good co-worker. John made an excellent mechanic. was a very dependable friend, glad to say he was a friend. R.I.P. John.

Tracy, Mike and Family,
I saw John on the road all the time in his gray S-10 pickup that he drove forever. I would wave every time I saw him. When we worked at Coorstek he called me “George by George”. He was always fun to be around!
