Jim along with other coworkers in my younger years changed my life forever the stern but caring actions he gave me guided me in a positive productive life full of love and compassion. Jim seen the potential and spoke with me in a way I didn’t realize was a challenge until I was older. I did get the opportunity when I was president of rotary to let him know he with several others sure changes my path in life and thanked him. My condolences for the family. My prayers are with Jim's family at this time of sorrow. Jim had a servant's heart evidenced by his work with the youth of Logan County for so many years. He had such an impact on so many whose lives were changed as a result of knowing him. Jim was a dedicated member of the Comprehensive Juvenile Services Board of Directors and Foundation Board, and a true inspiration to all who knew him. He will be truly missed.

Jean, we are so sorry for your family's loss. We couldn't have asked for better neighbors. You and Jim made us feel so welcome and we will never forget Jim coming over and brush-hogging our place as a "welcome to the area" gift. We were blessed to have gotten to know him.
He will be greatly missed. Jean, remember we are here if you need anything.

Jim was so sweet. I got to know him when I started working at the Library. He ALWAYS "teased" me, asking "are you ready to become a foster parent yet"
He believed in that cause and it showed.
He was a very kind man and I always enjoyed our conversations when he came in to get books.
He will be missed!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Richardson family in this time of grief. Jim's friendship was one of my most treasured blessings in this life. I worked with him for more than 20 years in Law Enforcement, CASA and Comprehensive Juvenile Services. Jim was a devoted advocate for the children of Logan County. What a great loss this world has suffered but what a great gain for God's Kingdom in Heaven! I will never forget you Jim and look forward to seeing you again.

Mr Richardson made an impact on me that lasted a lifetime. I met him under circumstances that were not the best for a young man, and he was firm but fair with me. I have always looked back on those interactions and was so glad that I met him when I did. His manner and integrity along with his ability to interact with young people was something that I like to think helped shape me. I hate to hear of this loss and would like to convey to his family my most sincere condolences in their loss.

Dear Jean and family:
Jim will be dearly missed. My favorite story of him while working in the Paris courthouse was when the upstairs bathroom door lock mechanism broke with him inside! I shoved magazines under the door, assured him help was on the way! Eventually the door had to be broken into and there he stood nonchalantly without any feathers ruffled! God be with all of you.
