Jim was so sweet. I got to know him when I started working at the Library. He ALWAYS "teased" me, asking "are you ready to become a foster parent yet?" He believed in that cause and it showed. He was a very kind man and I always enjoyed our conversations when he came in to get books. He will be missed!

You were always good to me. Rip Jim
Mr Richardson made an impact on me that lasted a lifetime. I met him under circumstances that were not the best for a young man, and he was firm but fair with me. I have always looked back on those interactions and was so glad that I met him when I did. His manner and integrity along with his ability to interact with young people was something that I like to think helped shape me. I hate to hear of this loss and would like to convey to his family my most sincere condolences in their loss.

Dear Jean and family:Jim will be dearly missed. My favorite story of him while working in the Paris courthouse was when the upstairs bathroom door lock mechanism broke with him inside! I shoved magazines under the door, assured him help was on the way! Eventually the door had to be broken into and there he stood nonchalantly without any feathers ruffled! God be with all of you.
