Megan Whitley Peek

of Rockaway Beach, MO

March 7, 1996 - March 24, 2021

On Wednesday, March 24, 2021, Megan Whitley Peek, daughter, sister and loving mother of Ryder, passed away at the age of 25.

She was born on March 7, 1996 in the small town of Mena, Arkansas. She graduated from Calico Rock High School in 2014. She gave birth to her only son in the fall of 2017. Megan had a passion for so many things; music, cosmetology, even dabbled in painting when she was growing up. She was known for her infectious smile, inept ability to make friends wherever she went and the amount of love she had for her family and friends.

Megan was preceded in death by her grandfather ''Pepi'' Ron, and older sister, Kirstie.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Bridget, father, Eric, son, Ryder, siblings; Derek and Gabby, grandparents; Joyce (Tom) Iverson, aunts; Raquenta and Machelle as well as her cousins, nieces, nephews and many others who loved her.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Maranatha Assembly of God Church in Shirley, Arkansas at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Huie Cemetery in Clinton, Arkansas

We were so sorry to hear about the death of Megan, our hearts go out to all her love ones. We have the hope of seeing her in paradise conditions mentioned at Revelation
Chapter 21.Before Jesus resurrected Lazarus Jesus referred to Lazarus as being asleep.
We know loved ones that have died are just just like sleeping ones until being awakened
By being resurrected. ( John 11-11 thru 14 )

I really have no words except just to know she is happy and free now. something she longed for and needed and has now. unfortunately it is us human beings and family that have to suffer. BUT with the faith and power of our almighty God, he will get you all thru this. ❤

It is with heavy hearts that we share your grief over the death of our great niece, Megan, at such a young age. Death affects each and every one of us.

We can find comfort though, that the dead are not forgotten by our loving Creator as stated at
John 5:28-29 “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out,”

Our loving creator assures us of a resurrection of our loved ones that are sleeping in death.
Acts 24:15 “There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”

Death is a result of our inherited imperfection that causes all of us to sin. we are reminded of this at Romans 6:23 “For the wages sin pays is death,” However it is comforting to know how death affects the sins we may commit due to our imperfection. Romans 6:7 “For the one who has died, has been acquitted from his sin.”

May we all draw closer to our loving Creator and look forward to welcoming Megan back to life, in the assured resurrection. At this time though we share in your morning over such a loved one as we look forward to her resurrection.

I can't think of any words that would be sufficient in saying how much it saddens me for your loss. I remember Megan as a beautiful child, with the biggest smile, and so loving. Though we haven't seen each other in years, she and Gabby and Derrick, have remained in my heart and have never forgotten those precious moments I spent with them. God bless you, I love you all.
