Mary Frances Williams passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 78. She was born in Gosnell, Arkansas August 17, 1942 to parents William Curtis Nelson and Evelyn Mason Nelson. Mary was a resident of Marion, Arkansas.
In 1958, Mary met her love, Earnest Williams and the two embarked on a life journey of 47 years until God called him home in 2005. They raised two wonderful children along the way. Mary was of the Baptist faith and was known for her spunkiness and for being feisty. She loved spending time in her garden and caring for her family. She was a long-time supporter of the West Memphis Christian School.
Mary is survived by her son Tim Williams and his wife LeeAnne. She leaves her brother, Ricky Nelson and three sisters; Laura Baker, Shirley Collins and Sharon Nelson. She will be deeply missed by two grandchildren; Jessica Conn and Mary Lynn Lee as well as five great grandchildren; Cole, Kyndall, Corbin, Carter and Harper. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Denise Williams, her parents, brothers; Bobby Nelson and Jerry Nelson as well as her sisters; Juanita McGregor, Linda Nelson Miller and Jo Sutt.
Graveside services for Mary will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion at 1:30PM. The family requests a donation be made in Mary's name to the West Memphis Christian School.
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home will be following guidelines issued by the Arkansas Department of Health and the CDC regarding COVID-19. Social distancing of at least six feet must be practiced and all funeral attendees must provide and wear their own mask.
