Billie Jean Tankersley, 81, of Jonesboro, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021. She was born on December 14, 1939 in Jonesboro to Bill and Winnie Effie (McViegh) Simino. Billie was a truck driver and a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed landscaping and taking care of it.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 27 years, Donald Len Tankersley; brothers, Bubba, Jim and Calvin Simino, Andrew and Jack Patterson and Leonard Reeder; sisters, Dean Moss and Audrey Gulley.

Survivors include her sons, Kenny (Debbie) Griggs and Donnie (Teresa) Griggs; and a daughter, Judy Sykes; grandchildren, Ethan Travis, Chelse Travis, Aaron, Ryan, Eric Griggs, Tara Clark, Davy Sykes, Crystal Sykes and Amber Brannon; and several great grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Pirtle and Linda Pirtle.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 24, 2021, 11:00 am at Grace Baptist Church with Brandon Wright officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service,

Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home is in charge of services.
