She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Nathalee Wayman, and her loving husband of 58 years Charles Thomas Puckett.
She is survived by her children, son Greg Puckett (SiLena) of Bella Vista and daughter Audie Potts (Bryan) of San Antonio, Texas. She is survived by five grandchildren, Charlie Puckett and Katie Puckett of Bella Vista, Lindsay Lebahn (Jake) of Tecumseh, Kansas, Brandon Potts (Kayla) of Conroe, Texas, and Mallory Potts of San Antonio; by one great grandson Lawson Lebahn of Tecumseh, Kansas; by Mellie Jo Owen (Wayne) of Monticello and Gary Wayman (Terri) of Claremore, Oklahoma; and also by the numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved and cared for deeply, as they did her.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She dedicated the many years of her life to family and as a devoted elementary school teacher and Principal, and as a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, serving as a hostess, member of the bereavement committee and member of the Wisdom Sunday School Class.
Margie was a 1954 graduate of Arkansas A&M College and earned her Master of Education Degree from The University of Central Arkansas. She began her life-long education career in Watson Chapel for one and half years, followed by two years in Havelock, North Carolina, and 15 years teaching with the Little Rock School District at Mitchell Elementary, Brady Elementary, and ultimately as Principal at Western Hills Elementary for 15 years, retiring in 1992.
Margie was a member of Little Rock Retired Teachers Association (President 2008-2010), Delta Kappa Gamma, Kappa Kappa Iota, and Phi Delta Kappa (President 1989-1990).
Margie was an avid bridge player and looked forward to her weekly games of fun and fellowship with her friends. She was a passionate Razorbacks sports fan. After attending her first Razorback football game in 1948, she supported the Hogs throughout her life, attending many football bowl games and conference and NCAA basketball tournaments. And, if the Hogs were on television, she was watching.
Visitation will be at Roller Chenal Funeral Home on Chenal Parkway in Little Rock from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, April 6th. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 7th at 10 am at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, with graveside services at 2 pm at Macedonia Cemetery in Rison.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or Immanuel Baptist Church Bereavement. Margie has requested no carnations; she thinks those are funeral flowers.
She was my principal at Western Hills Elementary school for 12 of her 15 years there. I gained a wealth of knowledge from her and she was always so encouraging and everyone loved her. May she Rest In Peace now.
I feel blessed to have been her friend. What a wonderful person.
Mrs. Puckett was a very special person. I enjoyed working with her many years at Western Hills Elementary.
May wonderful times spent with her comfort you during this time of grief. Allow their joys to give your heart relief.
With my Deepest Sympathy and Sincere Condolence,

Mrs Puckett was such a beautiful lady inside and out. It was a joy to visit her when she was at the shop having Diana do her hair. She and Mr Puckett gave us the most awesome couple wedding shower. She loved her kids and grands fierce and was so very proud of al of you. Please accept our prayers and condolences. What joy she experienced walking through Heavens gates, then seeing Mr. Puckett. The video was a beautiful tribute.
Mrs. Puckett was my 1st Principal. She hired me as a kindergarten teacher and I will be eternally grateful. She has and always will hold a special place in my heart. May she RIP.
Margie was a cherished cousin. Even tho we lived miles apart, we kept in touch. I was fortunate to get to visit her and our cousin Judy several times in the last few years. Our times together were filled with good food and much laughter. Those are memories I cherish. Much love and prayers to all the loved ones who I know are feeling this loss. God Bless you in this time.
A grest lady yhat will be sorely missed!
I have had the privilege of being Margie's neighbor for the 4 1/2 years that I have been at Parkway.
She was a sweet, godly, brave lady who inspired me with her perseverance and courage.
We prayed for one another. I miss her very much. I am thankful that in the Lord Jesus Christ that she is healthy and happy with Him and has had many other special reunions with loved ones. I would like to say to her family what they probably already know--you were loved and appreciated. I know you will miss her and I am praying for all of you too.
May the God of all comfort wrap you round as only He can.
Sincerely,
Margaret
