David Keith Sutterfield, age 56, passed on March 10, 2021 to meet our loving Lord and Savior. David was a caring and devoted son and brother. He was born in North Little Rock, grew up in Plano, Texas and lived the last 18 years in Big Flat.
He is preceded in death by his father, Norman Sutterfield and stepfather, George Behrendt.
He will be deeply missed by his mother, Kay Sutterfield, brother Bob Sutterfield his wife, Cindy and their daughter Anna; brother Chad Surles and his children, Luke, Sophie, and Sam. Further survived by his aunt Kristy Horton, cousins Kim Bender (Wade) and Rick Horton (Briahna) and their children and grandchildren and many cousins and close friend, James Wiley.
David was first and foremost a strong Christian believer, maker of music, lover of song, a kind and gentle soul, care giver, dog lover, driven by his convictions. David will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Bob Stevens, James Wiley, Richard Horton, Darrell Norman, Bob Sutterfield, and Carl Wayne Chadwick.
In lieu of flowers: Donations may be made to Mountain View Animal Shelter
Visitation will be held at Roller Crouch Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 16, from 1:00-2:00 PM with services following at 2:00. Brother Carl Wayne Chadwick will officiate. Burial will follow at Big Flat Cemetery.

Although he was family, and we knew David most of his life, we were not around him for any extended time because of where we lived. But it was obvious that David valued things that are valuable: God, Family, C.ountry, God's Creation, Freedom, Honesty, Truth, Morality, & Music, etc..
In such a "Materialistic World" it gladdens one's heart that someone still places the lasting things above the temporary state of this world's material riches.

To Kay, Bob and all the family: it was a shock to see David’s obituary in the newspaper. I recall a few nice visits with David at the Big Flat home. That place was special for us as the home of Uncle Bert and Irene (for some reason we never called her “Aunt†— I think she always appeared too young and pretty). At your grandma’s funeral, it was evident how much David loved his niece and the rest of the family around him. Our son, Ken, drove by Big Flat last year for a visit with David. He enjoyed talking with David. It’s been a shame that our generation has drifted so far apart without sharing our lives.
We hope all of you are doing well, and staying clear of the dreaded COVID-19 virus. It would be our hope to hear news from you.
