On Thursday, March 4th, 2021, Niki House, daughter of John and Ginger House and sister of Kayla and Rebecca House, passed away at the age of 36.
Niki was born on April 1st, 1984, in West Memphis, AR, as the firstborn daughter of John and Ginger. Some may be surprised to know that Niki's actual name was April Nicole. She did not particularly like this name because, well, she was first born in April, and her first name was April. However, an argument can be made that this name was precisely who she was. The name April means ''opening.'' This is in line with being the firstborn and her ability to open the hearts of those around her. She was always a listening ear and there for anyone who needed anything regardless of what it cost her. She was an open book. If you asked her what she was feeling or thought about a specific topic, she would tell you precisely what she thought. Nothing was off-limits.
The name Nicole means ''victory of the people,'' and if there was a person you wanted in your corner, it was Niki. She was the biggest supporter to those around her and fought for you in every way she could. She would comfort you on your worst day and encourage you that all will be better. She lived up to the name she was given whether she knew it or not.
Niki was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Earlene, and her maternal grandmother, Audra. She is survived by both parents, John and Ginger, two sisters, Kayla and Rebecca, six cousins and several second cousins. A viewing service will be held on Monday, March 15th, 2021, at Roller-Citizen's Funeral Home from 10 o'clock am to 12 o'clock pm, followed by a graveside service at Crittenden Memorial Park at two o'clock pm. Flowers may be sent to Roller-Citizen Funeral Home and donations may be made to The Shepherd Center of Atlanta at www.sheperd.org.
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home will be following guidelines issued by the Arkansas Department of Health and the CDC regarding COVID-19. Social distancing of at least six feet must be practiced and all funeral attendees must provide and wear their own mask.

I have known Niki my whole life I was her un biological sister. I was best friends with her youngest sister Rebecca and basically lived at the “House’s†home. When Rebecca wasn’t there I’d hang with Niki watch shows with her, talk about anything and everything. She always kept our communication alive. Even when I moved 15 hrs away she still checked on me and even became an aunt to my first born and checked on us constantly because Preston would be away for long periods of time. Still have our sweet messages and will cherish them forever. Niki was a family gal and loved her family more than anything. She was thoughtful and caring to her friends as well. We will miss you dearly and now it’s our turn to check on you in spirit. We will always adore and remember you sweet sister 💜
