He usually called me about once a month and I was afraid of what had happened. We had been friends since 1957, before any of our kids were born and we were living in Wichita, Kansas . We were both a couple of wild and crazy kids but we enjoyed each others company. All of the hunting and fishing trips. We did it all. I know Peggy and the kids are all saddened by the loss of a great guy. Kenny
I will always cherish the times when Aunt Peggy and Uncle JC would stop by my workplace, and have a little visit with me. I spoke with Uncle JC about a week before he passed away, and it was a short but sweet conversation. We talked of the hope that we have in Christ Jesus, and actually sang a round of Amazing Grace...he was singing along with me..we had a duet going on. He knew his journey here was coming to an end, but he was looking forward to that blessed hope, and promise of eternal life that is given to those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord. My sincere condolences to all the family. My love and prayers are with you all. - Tonya Richmond Barber (Lawrence's baby daughter)
I’m the daughter of Wenona Richmond Allsup. So sorry to hear about her 1st cousin passing. Prayers for the family.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My daddy, who was Columbus Richmond, and I would go and visit your mom and dad as long as we were able. Daddy and JC were a few months apart in age and were 2nd cousins who really liked to talk. My daddy passed away a little over a week before JC. So I am sure they are in Heaven pain-free and catching up. My love and prayers are with you all.

Sad to hear of the passing of J.C. and keeping Peggy and children upheld in prayer.
Farewell to a very nice man and my friend. Thanks for the memories: eating watermelon in yard at the picnic table, babysitting me, all the chats at church, the friendly smile and always asking how I am. I will miss you, J. C. My sympathies to Peggy and all of your amazing family.
