H. Paul Hill, age 79, of Jacksonville, passed away February 20, 2021.
He was born May 19, 1941, in Bassett, Arkansas, to George W. Hill and Essie Becknell Hill.
Mr. Hill was a minister and later became a carpenter. He was a loving husband, father, and "Grumpy".
He is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Shirley Yvonne Hill; three children, Karen Hill of West Memphis, Sherrie Traffanstedt (Andy) of Sherwood, and Christy Griffith of North Little Rock; four siblings, Jerry Hill (Ruth) of Damascus, Eddie Hill (Debbie) of Hot Springs Village, Miriam Rea (Larry) of Memphis, Tennessee, and Walter Hill (Suzanne) of Conway; four grandchildren, Megan Woodruff (Trey) of Portland, Oregon, Paige Griffith of North Little Rock, Lauren Chambers of Little Rock, and Landon Griffith of North Little Rock; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 3, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Thursday, March 4, at 1:00 p.m., at Bayou Meto Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock.
Thank you Mr. Paul for making me laugh. Love you so much. I know we miss you but you are having the time of your life. My prayers are with Shirley , Sherri, Lauren and the rest of the family. God Bless you all.

Miss Shirley and Sherrie, Mr. Paul was truly a great guy and I am very sorry for your loss. I know he is with the Lord and I hope that comforts you. He will be missed and I loved talking with him and the way he would reach out and tell me he loved me.
