Carl Raymond Turner, 60, of Booneville, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Scranton. He was born on April 4, 1960 in Danville, Arkansas to his parents Carl and Frances (Myers) Turner. Raymond worked as a Farm Manager for Stephen's Productions for many years and was the owner and operator of Turner Generators. He loved riding horses, working cows and following softball, especially when his daughters were playing. He is preceded in death by one grandson, Remington Cameron; one brother, Jason Turner and his grandmother, Velma Turner. He is survived by his two daughters, Erica Cameron and husband Lance of Scranton and Brooke Turner of Booneville; his parents, Carl and Frances Turner of Havana; one sister, Terri Partin and husband Brian of Dardanelle; one brother, David Turner and wife April of Havana; two grandsons, Reid and Rydge Cameron; three nieces, Desiree Turner, Carlee Partin and Krista Fowler; two nephews, Darren Turner and Turner Partin and numerous aunts, uncles and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Western Yell Church of Christ in Havana officiated by Rev. Eldon Stephens. Burial will follow in Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Waveland under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris. Pallbearers will be David Turner, Darren Turner, Turner Partin, Buddy Benson, Chancy Byrum, James Brackney, Tony Harris and Bob Nelms. Honorary pallbearers will be Reid and Rydge Cameron. We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and all attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering.
I only knew Raymond a short time. I recall many mornings, he would stop by my office at Stephens to check on me. We would share stories about our families. There was no denying it, he was proud of his family and loved them dearly. I loved hearing updates on Brooke and the softball games. His Smile, Stories, and contagious Laugh brighten many working days. Sending sincere condolences for your loss.

Raymond was one of those rare people who have a magnetic kindness about them. Raymond was easy to get to know, and he treated people kindly and respectfully. I was always glad to see Raymond, because I knew he would always speak to me and have something good to say.
I was so very sorry to hear of Raymond’s passing. I will never forget all those years ago when we were kids . Helping out in the chicken house gathering eggs so we could get through early and ride horses. We chased those darn ponies till we dropped, lol, some days we caught them and some days we didn’t. We sure had fun on the days we did. My heart and my prayers go out to Carl and Frances and David and Terry. Prayers for Raymond’s girls. This is a hard loss and he will be so greatly missed by all.

I’m am so privileged to have known Raymond as a true friend. We had a lot of fun together at Havana High, and we kept up with each other in the too many years since. It was always a pleasure to run into him and exchange those “remember when...” stories. He almost always had a wide smile on his face. I will miss him so much. My prayers are with the family for strength and comfort in this difficult time.

I have very happy memories of hay field and chicken house adventures, hog (and snake) killing, lunch around Mrs. Frances’ table, and every ‘cross the creek farm.life event with y’all those first years after we moved from OKC! No one could make my dad laugh like Raymond! My thoughts are with you, and I pray the goodness and sweet memories of Raymond will comfort the broken hearts of your family until we’re all rejoined for Eternity! Raymond and I worked putting generators in for people and hooking them up to propane. Splendid man.
Raymond was one of the best men I’ve ever met. He loved to laugh and cared so deeply for his family, friends, livestock, and community. He will be missed. Fly high Raymond.

The world lost an amazing man and friend. When we moved to Havana Raymond was one of the first few people we met. He instantly became not just a friend but family. He was always willing and ready to help anyone he could. He also loved to eat and there was always a home cooked meal at our house. Raymond you will greatly be missed. I will miss your smiles and your hugs. We will forever be here for your children if they ever need us. Until we meet again.
Raymond was such a fun and loving guy who will leave a void space in the lives of everyone that had the blessing of knowing you!! Even though your in a much better place. you will surly be missed!
