Vester Odell Jackson, 90, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at his home. Vester was born on September 25, 1930 in Leachville, Arkansas to the late Max and Adena (Patton) Jackson. Vester was a veteran of the United States Army and was of the Protestant faith. He did factory work for many years and enjoyed playing music especially the guitar. He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Vester is survived by his wife, Elaine (Harris) Jackson; one son, Mike Jackson; two daughters, Nora Manes and Shanan Jackson; three brothers, Levert Jackson, Jr. Jackson, and Allen Turner; one sister, Edna Mae Graham; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; along with a host of many extended family and friends.
Vester was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Adena (Patton) Jackson.
Visitation for Vester is Friday, February 26, 2021 from 5-7PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Graveside services will be Monday, March 1, 2021, 2:00 PM at Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Missouri. Interment will follow the service.
Arrangements in Arkansas are entrusted to Roller Crouch Funeral Home, Mountain View, Arkansas.
Arrangements in Missouri are entrusted to Bradshaw Funeral Home in Maulden, Missouri.
Elaine, I just heard about Chief passing last Feb. Wish I had known for I would have been there to honor a dear friend. Odell often sent me tapes to listen and critique. He was a great musician and I listen to his music going down the road. We will always remember his legacy. Hope you are doing well. Howard Fikes
Elaine, so sorry to see of Odel’s passing. I lost Morris in June last year. Times like this I don’t know what to say , I know you will have lonesome days. Wish I would have called you a month ago when I was thinking about calling. you take care and if I am ever in MtView again I will stop by.

So sad to hear of the passing of my friend, I loved him like my family, I have great memories of the many years of music we played together. My prayers go out to Elaine and the family. Odell you were a great friend I will miss you. But I know I will see you again someday at the river of life.

There are never enough words to express our sympathy to Elaine and the entire family . Odell was a great friend, a talented musician and will be missed. We loved him and Mountain View will never be the same. God rest Odells soul in peace and give comfort to his beloved Elaine. He will now sing and play his music and entertain in heaven as he did for all of us.
