There are only a few that touch your life in a positive way. Mr Brady was given many talents, coaching, teaching, and a natural leader and motivator. He used his gift to make the lives better to those he was around. Thank you for all you did for others, may God comfort your family that you are leaving behind.

Losing a good nephew. I didn’t get to see him as much as we both would have liked, but he would tell me if I needed something to call. I knew he would help me.
I remember about fifteen years ago I told him I would like a cat. He brought me a tiny kitten, Prissy. She was a pretty baby and I just lost her last year.
To Ann and family, Ruth, and Scott and family he will certainly be missed by so many that loved and looked up to him.
I love you, Charles Dee.

Mr. Brady had a tremendous influence on my life. In elementary school, it was my dream to play basketball at West Side and especially under the coaching of Charles Brady. In the six years I had the opportunity to play under him, Mr. Brady was always encouraging, positive and supportive. Somehow he even made us enjoy running line drills and up and down the bleachers until we dropped! But I learned more than basketball under Mr. Brady. I learned the pride that comes from giving your best in whatever you do. Charles Brady touched many people’s lives and will be truly missed! Mrs. Brady, my prayers are with you and your family. I pray the Lord will bless you and give you strength.

There’s probably not a week that goes by that I don’t think of Mr. Brady. When I went to high school you didn’t say coach Brady you addressed him as Mr. Brady. I’m 69 years of age and I still always addressed him in that form out of total respect. He had a tremendous influence on my life. He motivated me in many different ways. I played ball for him for 6 years and enjoyed it so much , it was my life. Because of him I had probably 20 scholarship offers and therefore was able to get a masters degree and coach basketball college for a couple years before I got into business. He was always there when I needed a friend or I needed to be disciplined, which was solved with a paddle. My last three years 1967-1970 we were 87 wins and 13 losses , that’s success. There’s a hand full of people that you go thorough life with that has a big impact on your future and he was definitely one of them. Thanks so much.

My best friend from birth to death . We were born three months apart in the same community. We attended the same high school and were roommates in college. Coach and I talked two or three time a week - mostly about ball games ,cows, politicians and family. Ruth and Scott I will miss him but I will have a life time of fond memories. May God bless you during this difficult time! I am praying for you and your families.

Coach Brady - Coach, teacher, Cowboy, mentor and friend. When I learned of Mr. Brady’s passing, many memories came to mind which seemed like just yesterday. David, Deborah and I reminisced a while. David and Deborah played basketball for him—there was no girls basketball when I got to 7th grade. He and I talked horses!
Mrs Brady...my all time favorite teacher (and most beautiful lady.) you always encouraged me and will be forever grateful of the impact you and Mr. Brady made in my
Life.
May God comfort you and Scott and family during this time.

Charles Brady was principal at West Side School for all years when I started there as a 4th grader and his wife, Mrs. Ruth Brady, was 6th grade teacher and I thought she was the most beautiful lady I'd ever seen in my life. My 9th grade year I started playing basketball for Coach Brady and in my senior year, he was instrumental in helping me attain a scholarship and financial aid to be able to attend Lyons College at Batesville. After graduation from college in 1974, I was privileged to coach girls basketball alongside Coach Brady as he coached boys basketball until he left West Side. To me, Coach Brady was a teacher, a principal, a coach, a mentor, and most of all a great friend. The world is at a loss today because of his passing. They don't make men like him much anymore who affect the lives of so many people in a positive way. I will forever be in debt for the things he did for me over the years. Debbie and my heartfelt prayers go out to Mrs. Ruth, Scott and his entire family.

I coached the 16 years after Coach Brady at Mt. Vernon-Enola. Coach Brady was a mentor to me all 16 years. He never gave any coached advise unless you asked him. It took me a year or two to ask advise from Coach Brady. I can't thank Coach Brady enough for all the situations that he helped me with over all the years. Coach Brady was a mentor, friend, and someone that I strive to be like.

Charles Dee was my first cousin. His mother, Aunt Opal, was my father's (Sam Woodward) older sister. My fondest memory of Charles Dee was when I was a very young girl and our dog, Sue, (who I was named after), had a puppy under our house. Charles Dee came over and crawled under our house and brought out Sue and her puppy. We named the puppy Dee Dee after Charles Dee...of course!
RIP, dear cousin. You made us all very proud of you!

Coach Brady was my hero. Other than my father, he was the first man I looked up to and admired. He taught me so much about life, athletics, the horse/rodeo industry, and although I didn't get to be around him much after I graduated high school, we stayed in touch and he was always one of my very best friends. It meant so much to me when he came to my Dad's funeral--that's just the kind of man he was. I will miss him terribly, but I have a lot of sweet memories that I will cherish always. I pray for God's Peace for Mrs Brady, Scott and their family over the coming days. Rest in Peace, Coach Brady.

Loved Charles Dee and wanted to marry him when I was Little. He was great cowboy and then later a great coach. When he coached for Enola, he told my parents that I was the clumsiest kid he had ever seen. A great and honest coach.

Mrs. Brady and Scott and family,

I was saddened to hear of Coach Brady’s passing. He is held in high regard by my family. I appreciated his kind words to me and about me l, and I know many other players did as well. I also had the privilege of being taught as a tweenager in 6th grade by you (I thought you were so elegant because you were) and knowing Scott as a schoolmate. I don’t have to tell you he will be sorely missed, but I did want to stress how blessed I feel to know and learn your family. I pray God’s comfort for you all.

Dear Ruth and Scott, May God wrap his arms around all of you and comfort you during this time of grief. Coach Brady meant so very much to Lena and I as Lena kept score for Coach Brady for Four years. I can remember when I met Coach Brady the first year he came to Westside. He stopped at my Dad’s little grocery and gas store for a loaf of bread. He was very friendly and asked me if I liked Basketball. I said yes, but I wasn’t too good at playing the game. He smiled and said when school starts this fall I want to see you in the gym playing BB for me. That statement was just what I needed. I was going into the ninth grade and never played competitive BB. He taught me so much! As you know I later went on to play basketball, majored in P. E. At Arkansas Tech, coached against him while coaching at Southside , Bee Branch, of course he won every game we played, but our relationship fostered so much over the years. He had a way to encourage his players and we all respected him. I could go on and on, but just know his encouragement led me to where I am today. We will miss him! Carl J. Barger

Mrs Ruth & Scott, I was so sad to hear of Coach passing away. I know y'all are hurting so I pray for God to comfort you as only he can. He was truly a remarkable man and I feel so blessed to have had him in my life. My how time flies by! He influenced me in so many positive ways like I know he done for so many other of his players and all that he had contact with. Words just can't describe the respect and admiration I carried in my heart for him and I will have that as long as I live. So many great memories of not only playing basketball for him but also knowing of his love for his horses, cattle, bird dogs (in the past), and most of all his love for you and Scott. The angels in Heaven have him now and I bet he is coaching his best team ever now! He will be so missed. May God give y'all comfort and guidance. RIP coach.
