Clifford LaBrecque, Jr., 82, of Norfork, AR, passed away from this life on Sunday, February 21, 2021. He was born on November 11, 1938, to the late Clifford and Edra (Lanning) LaBrecque in Mancelona, Michigan.
Clifford was as a Navy Seal. He owned a Golf Pro Shop in Kansas City. He was the only double certified club maker in the world in his time. He was a renowned Bigfoot researcher and had a model made to honor his belief in Bigfoot.
He leaves behind his life partner, Joan Carlsen of the home; daughter, Michelle LaBrecque; son, Michael Brown; one grandson, Nash Fisher; brother, Kenneth LaBrecque; and sister, Carol ''Elaine'' Dompierre.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by one grandson, Jackson Fisher.
There will be no services at this time.

Cliff and I started the Iowa Bigfoot Research Center and traveled and displayed the replica in 1977.

I first met Cliff close to 40 years ago at his golf shop in Independence. I remember the first time I walked into his back room and saw that statue staring down at me in the dark I about wet myself. Over the years Cliff became a good friend. We talked golf, Bigfoot and life. Always a nice guy with great stories. Me and my friends will never forget him.

I remember one morning when Garth and I were working at The UPS Store in Mountain Home and out of the blue Clifford surprised us by dropping off breakfast sandwiches. No reason given. Clifford and Joan were frequent customers and we all enjoyed their visits.

Cliff was a special friend in my life. We met a little over 10 yrs ago and he came to my 50th Bday party at another friends place in the Rodney area. I still have a bottle of "Northern Lights" he gave me back then. At 56 I met my wife Kitty. I took her there and as a joke..let her walk in first and there was Bigfoot...lol. Cliff and I had a lot in common, and I knew back then I would wonder what it would be like now. We would unload at the cabin and then head to Cliff's place for the evening. And how the time would fly. We would bring Cliff stuff we thought he would like, like a bigfoot T-shirt or coasters etc.. And in turn Cliff would refuse to let you go empty handed. He even gave my wife and entire set of golf clubs! We will cherish the time we spent and his gifts. Most important his gift of being my friend and the honor to have lived with him. Till Valhalla my Brother! "Set long and talk much". The Mancave.
