I've missed my traveling buddy for many years now, just learned of her passing. Such a tremendous loss to all who knew her.
My thoughts always to her family, with whom she was so close and loved so much.
Enjoy your travels my dear, beloved friend - I look forward to taking another trip with you!
You are dearly missed, until I see you again.
I just found out today I miss Laura passed it breaks my heart and I'm at a loss for words. That's why I was there for me when my sister passed away and she was there for me when I needed the most when I had nowhere to go she opened her home to me. I love her like my mother. You'll always have a special place in my heart and I'll always be in debt to her. I can never repay her for the chance to get back up when I fell. The love that she gave me is only a mother's love. Tara is one of my best friends and I am so sorry that I could not be there for her and Kyle like they were for me. Tara and Kyle I love you both like brother and sister. Ms. Laura I love you and miss you so much. You were truly a blessing to have known and I thank God that I was lucky enough to get to know you and to be fortunate enough to call you "mom". Heaven gained an angel, and we lost a friend, a mother, a wife, a daughter, an aunt, a sister but we will never lose the memories, the love, the laughter, the ups and downs and the time you spent with us here on Earth. Spread your wings and fly high in the sky free from pain and we will meet again one day on the other side. God bless the Collins family and you are all in my prayers.... Driving to work a thought of Laura and the good times we shared before our lives got busy with kids etc., popped into my head. Prayers for the family and all of us who lost a great friend.

After 20+ years of friendship I will never forget the work moments at Fidelity, the after work happy hour laughs, the weekends grilling on your deck, the fun trips we took, listening to music, working on the weekends in the orchard, walking the dogs around the mountain, raking, and burning all those leaves in your damn yard! I will miss our regular phone calls and taking time each Christmas to pick out the perfect gift for you… life will never be the same knowing you are not a call or flight away. For me, the memories of our friendship are everlasting, but the pain from losing you feels momentarily unbearable.
It’s your time to soar with the angels; I will look at our picture daily and know that someday we will meet again on the other side! For now, Laura, rest in peace and love.
Tara I'm so very sorry about your mom!she helped stephany thru so much she will be missed.
Although I graduated with Laura, we never had a class together and hardly knew one another. I know her sister Nancy much better. And her dad...Dr. Richard Collins...has played such an important role in my life. He was my undergraduate advisor, and his interests in ecology and fisheries biology aligned with my own. I purposefully chose him to be part of my master's degree exam. He was tough and he knew his stuff. Some of my best memories are of field trips with him. I still have a photo of he and I collecting oysters off the gulf coast that ran in the Log Cabin back in the late '70s. My heart hurts for the family at this untimely loss. God be with you all.
I'm so sorry to learn of this news. Laura was a sweet person and she will be missed by many people. Please know that we will be praying for comfort for the family. God Bless

I am so, so sorry for your loss. I met Laura when working at First State Bank, probably in the early 80’s. We always had so much fun, both at work and outside of work. My prayers go out to your family. Glenda.
Laura and I became friends after I married and moved to Conway. I made some of the best friends ever after going to work at First State Bank and Trust. Moving and having no friends is very hard but Laura was a friend. She helped give me my baby shower for our first baby. Laura had a big heart and cared for others. After leaving the bank and Laura changing jobs we had kids grandkids we lost touch but I will never forget Laura teaching out and being a friend when I felt so lonely. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family I can’t imagine the loss your feeling. Be thankful for your memories 💞💞
