During her tenure, she was instrumental in changing the direction of the organization to a no-kill shelter that has provided loving homes to hundreds of adopted cats and dogs. In addition, Shannon established the ''Cause for Paws'' thrift store that provides the funding for the non-profit Humane Society and was heavily involved in creating the low-cost spay and neuter program.

Shannon was only in our family for a short while, but it felt like she had been part of it for much longer. Her infectious personality will be truly missed. All my love and prayers to Del and family.

I am shocked and greatly saddened to hear of my dear friend passing. My heart felt sympathy to Del, Sandy, her mom, dad, brothers and niece and nephew. Sorry I never meet you Del, everyone that did said you and Shannon were very loving couple, also that you took loving care of her when she needed it. The first week Shannon and I worked together The challenger exploded. Which did not predict our relationship. We had a great time working with each other, both in the offices and Ozark Humane Society. Hardly anything she couldn't do and I loved her dearly. Will miss her and wishing her peace.

Even though we haven’t got to spend that much time with Shannon, was always impressed with her wonderful , fun loving attitude. Was easy to see why you two made such a delightful couple.
Now remember Del, you have your own personal angel. So do your best to keep her smiling. Love you😘

Heart hurts for the family... Shannon and I were good friends since the mid 80's. She rented an apartment in my home for a while. Even though we were many years different in age, we shared many good times and laughs and shared some difficult times also. She helped me through difficult times more than once. I love her and I will miss her.

I have known Shannon for many years due to our careers in the business side of healthcare. What a difference Shannon made in the lives of those around her from mentoring to helping with the animal shelter. She is just walking ahead of us and probably happy to see some of her old friends and family along with previous fur babies.
