John Charles Welch, age 81 of Leslie, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, February 18th, 2021 at his home. He was born in Peoria, Illinois on September 28th, 1939 to James and June Welch. He grew up in Texas and later retired to Leslie, Arkansas.
John was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Welch of the home; one sister, Sharon and husband Roy; three sons, Michael and wife Linda, Paul and wife Karoll and Timothy; and six grandchildren.
John is preceded in death by his parents, James and June Welch; brother, Jimmy; and sister, Cheryl.
All services will be private.

John and I were classmates at Lutheran High School in Houston and we enlisted in the U. S. Navy together. A lifelong, treasured friend. My condolences to Susan, the treasure he found in Leslie.
