October 19, 1936 - February 19, 2021

Carrie Belle Pelton passed away at her home, on February 19, 2021, at the age of 84. Born on October 19, 1936, she was a lifetime resident of Benton and Saline County. Prior to her retirement, Carrie worked as a nurse for Saline County Health Department in Benton. She was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Carrie enjoyed collecting rocks and crystals, her dogs, and bird watching.

Carrie cherished time spent with her family members.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Angela) Pelton; daughters, Lisa (Tim) Pelton Sterling and Whitney (Jerry) Buck; grandchildren, Evan Scott Sterling, Caleb M.W. Pelton, J.T. Pelton; great-grandchildren, Jillian Belle Pelton, Gracie Noel Pelton, Christian Pelton and Caleb Pelton; and her brother, Morris W. (Barbara) James. She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris Walton and Arkie Kathline Rowland James; a son, Morris Sanford Pelton; and grandson, Vincent Shane Pelton.

Visitation is scheduled from noon until 2:00 p.m., February 23, 2021 at Roller Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Rd, Benton, AR. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home followed by interment in Pipkin Cemetery, Benton, AR. Pallbearers will be Caleb, J.T. and Robert Pelton, Jerry Buck, Earl Lynn Mitchell and Keven Trotter.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 100 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their masks before entering.

My condolences and prayers are with the family. I met Ms. Carrie when she first came to Mayflower at Harps. We became friends instantly. She was so loveable. I will truly miss her. Love y'all.
