Gary Evans Jewell, age 77 of Harriet, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, February 7th, 2021 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 24th, 1943 to Norman Carl Jewell and Betty Jane France Jewell.

Gary was veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was confirmed into St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Toledo, Ohio. Gary was a retired millwright from Consumers Energy in Michigan. He worked as a welder fabricator and an inspector. He was also an excellent mechanic. Gary was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing and sailing. His family meant the world to him and spending time with them brought him much joy.

Survivors include his wife of 50 plus years, Bettyann Oleska Jewell; his children Daniel Jewell (Dana) of San Jose, CA, Joshua Jewell (Nicole) of Harriet, Cindy Lee Jewell of Sylvania, OH and Ian Jewell (Lillie) of Luna Pier, MI; grandchildren, Alec Jewell of Little Rock, Tatum Hurst of Toledo, OH, Kira Jewell of Harriet, Sabrina Jewell of San Jose, CA, Kai Jewell of Harriet and Taryn Hurst of Toledo, OH; great-grandchild, Kinsley Faith Jewell of Little Rock and one more on the way; sister, Holly Jewell Phillips of DE; and cousin, Doug Jewell of FL.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Betty Jane Jewell.

Memorial services for Gary will be held at a later date.
