Patricia Frances Carruth Gibbs, 68, of Poplar Grove, Arkansas passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021at her home. She was born February 12, 1952 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Arthur and Kathryn Carruth.
Ms. Pat was a teacher for many years at Barton Elementary and a member of Lexa Baptist Church. She was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Steve and his wife, Jennifer of Poplar Grove; her daughter, April Thomas and her husband, Gregory of Poplar Grove; her grandchildren, Matthew Gibbs and Lexi of Cabot, Arkansas, Hannah Gibbs of Cabot, Kyler Gibbs, Nicholus Thomas and Justin Thomas, all of Poplar Grove; great-grandchildren, Macie, Hudson and Holland Gibbs; and her caregiver, Catherine Muffoletto.
A graveside service for Patricia Gibbs will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Roll-Citizens Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Gregory Thomas, Matthew Gibbs, Kyler Gibbs, Nicholus Thomas and Justin Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of the Delta, P.O. Box 3218, West Helena, Arkansas 72390 or to Alzheimer's Association of Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.

It breaks my heart to read of Ms. Pat passing away!! She was my teacher in elementary school. She would pick me up for church on the nights my Pop couldn't take me. She was an amazing woman and loved and admired by so many. April and family I am so sorry for your loss and will be keeping your family in my prayers.
I have such fond memories of Pat especially at family reunions. She was such a positive influence and will be missed by many! My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

Cousin Pat, I am going to miss you so very much. Whenever I would visit the farm a high point was stopping by to visit and catch up. Rest peacefully, dear. The impact and legacy of your life of teaching and loving your family, students and community will echo down through the years to come. Your life counted for so much! I look forward to seeing you again, in God's time.

Ms Gibbs was a wonderful teacher and person when she was employed with Barton School District. I extend my condolences to her family and friends.
