Survivors include her daughter, Mary Susan Stephenson of Arkansas; her grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole Treadwell and husband Jeff of Marshall, Jordan Elizabeth Stephenson of Fountain, Colorado and Seth Morgan Kent Stephenson and wife Danielle of Clarksville, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Olivia Madison Treadwell, Leah Addison Treadwell, Reese Mackenna Stephenson and Nora May Stephenson; one sister, Estalee Reves; many precious nieces and nephews; her wonderful in-laws, who she thought of as her own siblings, Maxine Rhoades, Melveda England and Paul and Kathy Roten; and a host of extended family and friends.

Denvalee is preceded in death by her parents, Leander and Mary Horton; her husband, Baxter Kent Roten who passed away in 2014; siblings, Joyce McKnight, Clois Horton, Lois Harness, Alma Smith, Zelma Bundy, Robert Perry and Gladys Eaton.

I loved my Aunt Den so very much. We didn’t get to see her much after we moved from Marshall but that’s when we started talking more by phone. I loved our phone conversations and the stories she would tell me about times past. She never said goodbye until she had told me to keep praying for her and that she loved me. I told her each time that I loved her too, but I doubt she knew just how much.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry for the family’s loss. I am very grateful for the opportunities I had to visit with my Great-Aunt Denvalee. I will treasure the memories of those visits and am especially glad she and my Grandma Gladys were able to be together on my Grandma’s final birthday. My prayers are for the family to find comfort in the promises of the Lord who never fails.
