Delois Fern Holladay was born Delois Fern Cox on Wednesday November 17, 1937 in McCurtain County Oklahoma to Lloyd Cox and Ruby Wheeler Cox.
She attended school in Haworth, Oklahoma as well as Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee. Delois was a traveler and lived in various cities in Oklahoma as well as spending some time in Oregon and finally settling in Arkansas. She loved her family and kept in touch with all of them near and far. Delois had many interests including shows in Branson, spending time at the senior center, shopping and above all her pet birds.
Delois was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Holladay, a son Jeffrey Cathey, her parents Lloyd and Ruby Cox and brothers Travis Cox and James (Rabbit) Palmer.
She is survived by her son Donnie Reid (Sherry), grandsons Gregory and Brandon, sister in law Nita Cox and nephew Travis Lynn Cox as well as a host of other family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a face covering is required, and social distancing will be practiced when in attendance.

Delois was a regular in attendance at the Hays Senior Center in North Little Rock. She told us great stories about her birds. She kept in touch via the telephone when she became ill and could not come any more. She will be missed.
