So sorry to hear of Gerald’s passing. I remember the times when we visited you all when you lived in the rock house. Gerald and I got reacquainted when I visited the nursing home and we had some good time. I’ll always remember him dancing in the hallways and wishing for Nadine. Now they’re dancing together again. May God comfort and bless you. Cousin Peggy Jo
I worked with Gerald back in the early 90s. He was a very kind and meek man. He struck me as being a man of great integrity. I enjoyed listening to him talk about his years as a youth. He once said that when he was a boy, he thought his last name was "Getwood" because he was often told to get wood for the house. He had a big grin when he related that to me. May God comfort each of you at this time.
Gerald, you can dance with Nadine again, hang out with Uncle Sam and Mike and Mart.
I was glad to know you growing up, loved all the fish fries and celebrations and get togethers. I will miss you. Rest in Peace, Gerald.
My brother Pete said it all, He is back in Nadine’s arms again! I will Always remember you both.Love you always. Tom Fox
To my cousins Kathy and Gerald Ray- my deepest condolences. To all others, lets remember what an honor and privilege it has been to share cracks of time with this great Man, Uncle, Father, Husband and good friend. I will always remember the summers shared with the Melton family and all the great times we had together! As you all know “Adrie†had a great sense of humor, an infectious laugh and a knack for telling great tales! He was loved by all who knew him and I’m sure he would say he’s happy to be back with his beloved wife and family that has been waiting for him in Heaven. I’m sorry that I can not attend his services- but would like to recognize a life will lived. To Uncle Gerald - catch a BIG ONE up there!
