Earline Mavis McCollum, 98, of Melbourne, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021.
She was born August 5, 1922 in Violet Hill, Arkansas to Joseph Paul McCollum and Ruby (Wagoner) McCollum.
Earline was a member of Belview Baptist Church of Melbourne; she was also Ladies Auxiliary President of the VFW. She loved to dance and enjoyed quilting, cooking, her garden and planting flowers.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Ellis of Melbourne; Alan White (Amanda) of Dolph; daughter, Jackie Goodrich of Melbourne; brothers, Loy McCollum of Melbourne, Larry McCollum of Fayetteville, and Bobby Jo McCollum of Cave City; sister, Mary Scheer of Iowa; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Shirley Hedum and Linda Smith; son, Bruce Wilson; and sister, Bonnie Moser.
Pallbearers are Tim Bagwell, Travis White, Adam Pinkston, Tony Hutchinson I, Tony Hutchinson II, and Gage Moss.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne, Arkansas with funeral procession to follow to Violet Hill Cemetery for Graveside service under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with John Moore officiating.
We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor visitation attendance to 50 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks and social distancing will be observed.
Such a sweet lady, we had lots of fun working together.

Sweet lady. I enjoyed visiting with her when she came into insurance office years ago.
So sorry to hear about Earlene she will be missed by so many. She has been my neighbor for many years. Thoughts and prayers for all the family.
