I had the honor to serve with Bill Blackstone in the 519th Maintenance Battalion from 1970 to 1976 and we remained friends until his passing. Bill was my Command Sergeant Major and mentor. He was a professional, loyal, patriotic soldier who always led by example. GOD Speed Soldier! CSM (Ret) Joe Baker

Our prayers our for you and the family. The memories I will always have of Mr. Billy is who has the best looking garden and of course he always had the best garden with no weeds and mine had weeds. He would say I wish my garden looked as good as yours. Will miss our daily conversations at the fence.

Love Tim and Kathi Howard

Mr. Billy was such a nice man. He always wore a smile. He put me to shame! I would be mowing my yard, fussing the whole time how hot it was, how tired I was, hating every minute of the chore. I’d look over the fence and see Mr. Billy, 90+ years old, rocking the mower thing! He would mow awhile, rest under the big shade tree, mow some more. I would pull up my big girl pants and get to mowing! Mrs. Geraldine, you’re in my prayers. He will be missed.
