Mike and I were in college together at UCA. I have never known anyone who loved sports more, especially local high school and college sports. We worked together at KASC (now KUCA). He would go to Estes Stadium and record himself calling the game into a tape recorder, take it back to the station and we would air the games tape delayed. But Mike also listened and critiqued himself on his performance for every game. He was a dedicated broadcaster and a good man. I always enjoyed talking to him. My heart aches for his family and all of his many friends,
Elaine and Josh, I am so sorry for your loss. Please know you are in my heart and prayers.

Elaine & family, I just want to say that I was very sorry to hear of Mike's passing away. I always had great respect for him and his tremendous passion he had for our youth sports and all sports he loved. Years ago during one of his radio broadcast basketball games he chose my son Ryan as player of the game. During his interview with Ryan he, Mike, asked about me. Ryan's answer was that I was a super star in his eyes. Well I want to say that Mike Harrison was the super star and his legacy as an Arkansas sports reporter super star will live on in the hearts and memories of the many of us that knew him. May God bless his family and may he rest in peace.

First of all I would like to say Elaine and Josh my thoughts and prayers are with you and my condolences sent to you on the passing of my good friend Mike. Mike was a great person he had a lot of passion to do high school sports and the best recollection or story I could say is starting in 1992 when he did a game between us and Vlonia was doing the scoreboard And Mike said and keeping the scoreboard In left center field was me and called me Mr Ace here in Perryville. But that's what he was a person that would offer advice, give you insight and also would help you in anyway he could. Other memories of Mike would be our phone calls that we had and all the different stories he gave to me even on the road are doing games at a place that he had to go to, always learn one thing about that and everything he said was a learning tool and I for one will be grateful to him for giving me the opportunity back in 1995 to hang out with him downtown and kindly learn some things from him, Truly a blessing that I was able to not only sit with him at games he an I were at UCA at the invitational tournament to ball games that we were at met Baseball or Regional Basketball games. Even the Saint Joe invitational tournament and always a pleasant person to to know and he gave me multiple opportunities to do stuff for him and I will be grateful for that opportunity that he had given to me. Once again my condolences my sympathy goes to you and your family Elaine and Josh may Mike rest in peace he will be missed truly in the sports world. And I want to say thank you to you guys for all that you've done for me as well you are truly a blessing and thank you very much!
