of Benton, AR
June 9, 1924 - January 15, 2021
Bessie ''Ruth'' Dodson Sisk, 96, of Hot Springs Village, formerly of Little Rock, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021. She was born on June 9, 1924 in Shoal Creek, Logan County, Arkansas, to Ray and Bessie Ewing Dodson.
Ruth was one of the most outgoing and fun ladies you'd ever meet. She loved fishing and being on the lake and you could often find her outside in her gardens with her hands in the dirt, but more than anything she loved her family with all her heart. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Ruth devoted her life and her heart to the love and care of others and left an impression of joy and laughter with whoever she met. She will be missed but her memory will be cherished and her legacy will continue on through those who loved and cared for her.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William M. ''Bill'' Sisk, and her brother, Ray Dodson.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Sisk and wife, Julie, and Bob Sisk and wife, Linda; four grandchildren, Carrie Poston and her husband, Nathan, Jamie Cheek and her husband, Doug, Ashley Gebbia and her husband, Mike, and Robert Sisk; five great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and many other extended family members and friends.
A Graveside Service will be Monday, January 25, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, face coverings will be required and social distancing will be practiced when in attendance.

Billy Ray, Bobby and Families,
So sorry to hear about Aunt Ruth's passing. We love her and Uncle Bill and am sure we'll meet again in the next life. I have many fond memories but my favorite was just before Marilyn and I married in 1981. I was working in Russellville and on my way home from Marilyn's in Little Rock and very sleepy. I called them at the lake house and they gladly put me up for the night! I never forgot their kindness and how much fun we had visiting.
Y'all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Bob and Linda. As we celebrate Ruth’s life together let us find joy in the many great events all shared. Although Fern and I only knew her for a short time we quickly realized what a wonderful person she was. Thank you both for introducing us to her. We are most thankful for the opportunity to have knw her.
Mrs. Sisk was my next door neighbor when she lived in Broadmoor. She was the best neighbor ever and I miss her daily. I still try to take care of her plants she left behind! Prayers for your family. I know she will be missed.

Bob and Linda,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of your family during this time. Bob, your mother was a delightful and beautiful lady. We are so honored that we were able to meet her over the years. What all she must have seen in her 96 years, but now she’s seeing the most beautiful sights in heaven and reunited with the love of her life. Please let us know if we can do anything.
Love,
