Virgil B. Thompson Jr., 66, of Manila, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021. He was born October 2, 1954 in Lepanto, Arkansas to Virgil B. Sr. and Elizabeth Kathrin Thompson. He worked for Southworth for many years. He was a member of Blackwater Church of God in Manila, AR. He enjoyed building things, playing the guitar and singing. He also enjoyed taking care of his pets. He is survived by his wife: Glenda Jean Thompson; son: Matt (Lisa) Thompson; granddaughter: Anna Thompson; brother: Bobby Shepard and sister: Becky Broughman. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother: Thomas Brewer.
The Visitation will be held at Roller-Swift funeral home on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 11am - 1pm with the funeral to follow at 1pm. Interment will be at Garden Point Cemetery. We are following the guidelines of the Arkansas Department of Health and will only be allowing up to 100 people into the funeral home at any given time. I love yall i really do. My heart just breaks for u all. I loved Virgil and i always busted out laughing whenever i was ever around him, bc he would give Matthew hell and it was always a funny show. But Matthew ,Anna , Mrs. Glenda i love yall. Im always home if u ever need me im so sorry for yur heartache. But teust that it wont never go away ,but with time itll ease up a little just in time...
