of West Memphis, AR
August 15, 1941 - January 9, 2021
Lynn E. Moore, 79, of West Memphis, AR passed away on January 9, 2021. He was born August 15, 1941, in Stuttgart, AR to James and Gene Moore.
Lynn graduated from West Memphis High School in 1959 and attended Arkansas State University. He spent roughly 15 years playing bass guitar in a traveling band where he encountered many well-known musicians including Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis. In 1974, he purchased the "world-renowned" Hernando's Hideaway in Memphis, TN and it was during this time he met his future wife, Charlotte Kay Walker. Lynn and Kay were married at First Baptist Church in West Memphis, AR on August 3, 1980. Lynn was a life-long member of First Baptist Church and it was here that he raised his family. Lynn was Owner/Operator of Quality Carpet Care from 1983 until his retirement in 2015. When Lynn wasn't spending time with his family, he was off enjoying the "true loves of his life", bowling and the Arkansas Razorbacks. When he wasn't front and center at War Memorial Stadium, he could be heard for miles around cheering them on from his beloved recliner. He loved his family dearly and spent many years coaching sports or attending boy scout events. His family could never go out in public without him finding someone to talk to. Lynn was a beloved member of his community and a man dedicated to loving his family.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Kay Moore and their two children, Rachel Barber (Travis) and Drew Moore (Kristen). He is also survived by his two grand-children, Jacob and Megan Barber.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Gene Moore.
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home will be following guidelines issued by the Arkansas Department of Health and the CDC regarding COVID-19. Social distancing of at least six feet must be practiced and all funeral attendees must provide and wear their own mask.

A sad goodbye my friend. My love and prayers for Kay and family.
I was so saddened to hear of Lynn's passing. We were classmates in high school, and more importantly we were in band together all through high school. We even played together in a little dance band while in school. Lynn was always a lot of fun, and I enjoyed seeing him at several class reunions. Prayers for all of the family during a difficult time. God be with you and help you find comfort. (Joyce Ann Parker, maiden name)
