Psalms 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
Pamela Jo Holland Young, 69, went to walk with Jesus and her dad on January 9, 2021. Pam was born on February 17, 1951 to William Francis & Joanne Bailey Holland. She was a retired school teacher and taught second grade at Abundant Life Schools for 34 years. Pam was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, where she also attended and team taught The Encouragers Sunday school class for 25 years. One of her proudest and most humbling moments was being chosen to be a member of the latest pastor search team at Immanuel.
Pam was not fixed on things of this world but was fixed on Jesus. She loved Jesus, her family, her country, and teaching. Pam loved witnessing and reaching lost souls. She went on multiple international mission trips taking the gospel to spiritually dark areas in the world.
If you think Christians don't know how to have fun, then you didn't know her. She enjoyed spending time with family, taking cruises with her sisters, beach trips, and trips to Branson with extended family.Regardless if it was a washed-out float trip, camping, backpacking, traveling softball trip, Silver Dollar City, or even taking the grand dog (Deuce)out, Pam was going to have fun.
Predeceased by her father, Pam is survived by her mother; her husband, David Young; daughters, Tracy Anne Human, Courtney B. Young, Lyndsay J. Silver (Dan); sisters, Suzie Mitchell (David), Sandra Hunter (Eric); 4 grandchildren (Jacob Boley, Ricky, Ella, Dominic Silver, and Deuce, the furry grand dog); brother-in-law, Doug Young (Phyllis) and a host of nieces and nephews and their children. As well as, many other loving family members and friends.
Private family graveside service will take place at Bradford Cemetery. A celebration of Pam's life will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church (501 N. Shackelford Rd, Little Rock, AR 72211) on Friday January 15th at 10:30AM, with visitation at 9:30AM before the service.
In lieu of Flowers donations can be made in memory of Pam to the Generations Campaign or The Acts 1:8 mission fund at Immanuel Baptist Church.

Pam was a beautiful human being. She was a wonderful teacher and an even more beautiful person. She taught our children at Abundant Life and was a positive influence in their lives. Dianne and I thought the world of her. Our prayers are with her family.
my prayer are with you and the family.
pam was a very sweet lady to me and always smiling when every we talked.
Pam was a fixture in my childhood at Immanuel--especially in the summer whether it was Super Summer Fun or VBS. Her beauty, kindness and grace were unmatched (well maybe by her sister Suzie who was just as much a figure at those events). Then as Tracy grew up and Lindsey and Courtney joined the family, she was there at youth events as well. I cannot think about her without thinking about growing up at Immanuel. She will be missed.
My sincerest condolences to this beautiful family. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you. May Jesus' loving arms comfort you in your sorrow.
Pam was a delightful and fully dedicated Kingdom woman. Her precious heart loved people and took her to far away places to share Jesus. Her faith gave her courage and compassion for all people. All of you are in our prayers for peace and comfort as you mourn her passing and reflect on her joy in being with Jesus. We love you
Pam and Dave have always been so admired by my parents and our family. We will miss her for the time being and look forward to the reuniting
Mrs Young was truly a beautiful person! She taught my son in the second grade at Abundant Life. He was lively to say the least! Yet, she handled him with such patience and gentleness. He bloomed under her guidance and left a life long impression on him. She taught me how to tap into his positive ,happy and smart personality and not stress over the little things. I was able to watch her influence many little lives over the years while I was working at the school! She was golden! Her love for each of them spilled over and affected them for a life time! What a blessing and privilege to have been called her friend! Can't wait to celebrate and dance on Golden Streets with her one day!

Our son John was blessed to have Mrs. Young as his 2nd great teacher at Abundant Life. We feel blessed to have known such a loving kind lady. Your family is in our prayers.
God's peace you.
I will always remember Ms. Pam as one of our Dream Team moms. Tracy and I played softball together from the time we were 9 year old little girls until we were 14 year-olds who knew it all. Ms. Pam was a constant source of encouragement for all of us as she cheered us on from the stands or wore her Dream Team gear proudly at our awards ceremonies. She was a kind, warm, caring and gracious person who left everyone around her a little better than she found them. As a fellow teacher, I can only hope to inspire those within my sphere of influence the way Pam did. It's easy to see by reading the condolences here and on her Facebook page how many lives she truly touched in her time on earth. To Tracy and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know you will miss her terribly but I hope you also realize that you carry her spirit with you always. My deepest sympathies, Jenna.
Susie and family, sorry for the loss of your dear, sweet Pam. She was special person. I’m sure she is rejoicing with her Heavenly Father.
David, I am so sorry to learn of Pam’s death. You and your family are in my prayers.

To Joanne, Suzie, Sandra, Dave and all the family, my heart is heavy as I realize when I walk up those steps to the balcony of Immanuel Baptist Church on a Sunday morning in the future I will not be met by Pam's friendly smile and comments as I pause to visit at the "Bailey family meeting" for a precious few minutes of catching up on the news. I know she is in Heaven and we will have even a larger family reunion there with Pam probably in charge of the fun! I love you all, Chloye
David and family, I hope you find comfort in knowing that Pam was such a fine Christian lady and brought joy to so many people.
Pam was a precious lady. I knew her from Immanuel Baptist Church. My prayers are with her family.
I was lucky enough to have Pam for my kindergarten and 2nd grade teacher, and many years later, my son would also have her as his 2nd grade teacher. We both agree she was our favorite teacher. Through the years, whenever I would run into her she always had a smile, hug and joy to give. We will always remember as we keep the family in our thoughts and prayers.
Pam was so much fun! She brightened our staff parties at ALS. We did not work on the same campus, but I still have good memories. My condolences to all.
She struck me as a woman of grace peace and inner strength - May her memory be blessed יהי זכרה ברוך
David and girls,
Pam always had a smile and a friendly hello to everyone she met. While we are so sad because she left us, heaven is rejoicing on her arrival. She is walking on the streets of gold with her Savior. Our prayers are with you and all of Pam’s family.

It was always a pleasure to run into Pam! She had a lovely smile and she loved visiting with you. She was a neighbor for many years and you could always catch her running if you got out to walk each day! She will be missed! Prayers for her family and friends.
To think of or mention Pam’s name I think of beautiful smiles & kindness. Although our years of high school have come & gone, her sweet spirit lived on as evident at our reunions. Her gentle & loving ways glowed with everyone she met. This was evident by the love of her Lord whom she shared.
She never changed through the years, bright smiles, radiating love & joy, inclusiveness, all which drew others in.
Yes, her presence will be missed but her happiness just began.

We are praying especially for you, David and Tracey as you adjust to life without Pam. We loved Pam because she loved the Lord and wanted folks to know Him, too. It was a joy to work alongside of her on several mission trips. We will miss her beautiful smile and joy in the Lord.

Pam has been a beacon of light, an untiring prayer warrior and an ardent encourager.
From the day we were baptized and joined Immanuel Baptist Church, she has been a beloved friend to me and my family. At all times she would share her faith with us and her love for Jesus gave us so much courage and inspiration, especially as new Christians.I and my family cherish the many times we have prayed together and her warm and unforgettable smile will be in our hearts. Pam never knew a stranger. Her stories from mission trips and evangelical work were truly inspiring. We will miss her very much. She is now in the presence of Him for Whom she lived.

Always hard to lose a classmate. Pam is no exception. Beautiful person. Good friend. Enjoy your Heavenly mansion.
Oh my Sandra and family, I am so saddened to hear of Pam's death. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. She is home with her Daddy and she is now free of pain, free of sorrow, free of heartache and now walks the Streets of Gold. What a glorious future eternal life truly must be.
Pam was our son’s 2nd grade teacher at Abundant Life. He would probably tell everyone she was one of his favorite teachers. I know he was a handful but he thought the world of her and she just had a way about her that dealt with children in a special way. We were very fond of her also.
I feel so blessed to have had a few years with Pam and. Tracey at school. I remember her laughter and her love for chocolate candy
Not to mention. Linda's pie.
Many happy and fun memories
Deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
I was so sorry to hear of Pam's passing. She was such a wonderful and Godly woman. She is one of the people I have missed seeing at Immanuel... her big smile on Sunday morning was definitely uplifting. I will keep the family in my prayers. May God send you comfort.

We absolutely adore Pam Young. She taught both of our sons during second grade at Abundant Life. She was a blessing and a pleasure to be around. She will be missed. Sending our love, prayers and condolences.
Mrs. Young was one of the best teacher at Abundant LIfe, She was Torranns second grade teacher, and I can remember to this day the tea party she had for the mothers in class, and Torrann was reading a poem about me with Mrs. Young standing over her with her hands on her shoulders as she read out loud. Torrann is now a senior. Mrs. Young always gave the best hugs and encouraging words. Lots of prayers to her family and friends.
So sorry for your loss. You and your family are in our prayers.
