August 20, 1935 - December 30, 2020

Clifford Aubry Ratton Sr. passed away on Wednesday December 30, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 85. Aubry was born in Marked Tree, Arkansas on August 20, 1935 to parents Clifford Eugene Ratton and Flora Elizabeth Galey Ratton. He grew up and spent his entire life basically in the area farming.

In 1960, Aubry met the love of his life in Mary Ruth Hicks Ratton. The two were married and was able to spend the next 58 years together before God called her home. They had one child, Clifford Ratton Jr.

Mr. Ratton was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Marked Tree however in his later years attended Grace Baptist Church in Marked Tree. He was a life long farmer and well known throughout the Boat Run community. He was one who would always be willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Aubry had a special bond with his parents. One of his most proud memories was when he was baptized in the Marked Tree floodway as a young adult as his mother Flora stood along the bank and witnessed the event.

Aubry is survived by his son Clifford Ratton Jr. (Diana) of Marked Tree. He will be missed by four grandchildren who he though was simply the best; Taylor Ratton, Jordan Ratton, Annie Ratton and Dakota Ratton as well as a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Ruth, his brother Gene Kimery, his three sisters; Ella Mae Gray, Dorothy Whatley and Sarah Ratton and his nephew James Whatley.

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Aurbery. He was such a sweet man always willing to help you if he could. And he loved his grands especially the little blonde blue eyed girl as he would call her. We will miss him driving by and honking or waving some times stopping to see How Ted was even though he had been sick or un the hospital too. We remember when we first started going to McDonald's on Sunday and Wednesday nights after church from Black Oak he and Mary Ruth would be there. We happened to need a place to sit one evening he offered the extra seats at their table we struck up a conversation and from then on we would sit with them or Pete and Barbara Bell from Trinity. It wasn't long before they were asking us to singings or we would talk about the Lord. One new years eve they invited us to a new years eve watch service in Trumann and with in a couple weeks we were at Trinity worshiping with them. We so enjoyed the times we would go to singings gospel or a special preaching. After Mary Ruth passed Aubrey was ready to go too. Fly high our friend you will be missed
