Janet Dorrough, 89, a resident of Paris, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021, at her home.
She was born October 1, 1931, in Midway to the late Bennie and Mae (Adams) Lowe. Janet spent her working years as an at-home seamstress while she cared for her home and raised her children. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Billy Edward Dorrough; two brothers, Kenneth and Bobby Lowe and a sister, Anna Lee Redding.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Lynn Davault (Martin) of Belknap, Illinois, Mary Katherine Carman (Jerry Nelson) of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois and Sandra Kay Dorrough of Paris; four grandchildren, Jeff Davault (Anne) of Cary Illinois, Stephanie Davault (Elvis) of Vienna, Illinois, Amber Johnson (Bob) of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois and Krystal Abalos (Ed) of Lindenhurst, Illinois; nine great grandchildren and two sisters, Janie Young and Elwanda Bridges, both of Paris.
Cremation arrangements are private under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
