Julie Ann Goble

of Searcy, AR

July 5, 1941 - December 31, 2020

Julie (Hastings) Floyd Goble, 79 of Searcy, died December 31, 2020. She was born July 5, 1941 in Doniphan, Arkansas to Bugie and Rosie Lee Jenkins Hastings. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Clarence (Pud) Floyd and Ray Goble; her parents, Bugie B. and Rosie Lee Jenkins Hastings; and nine brothers and sisters, Betty Jo Hastings, Mary Elizabeth Hastings, Lenin Hastings, twin boys who died at birth, Bugie (Sonny) Hastings Jr, Bobby Harold Hastings, Mary Ellen Hastings and Helen Frances Hastings Hale.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Robbie (Kenneth) Burch of Searcy; two sons Robert Floyd of Searcy and Jimmy (Joy) Floyd of Bothell, WA; three grandsons, Joshua, Jesse, and Jordan (Adrianna) Floyd; two sisters, Martha Rose Hunter Dykes of Wichita Falls, TX along with her children, Linda and Robert Hunter and Shirley Turney and her husband George Click of Searcy and her family two sons, Jerry (Natasha) Turney, and their children Bruce and his daughter Autumn and Brandon along with her son Mark (Keesha) Turney and their children Mason and Josh all of Searcy. One brother-in-law, Robert Guy (Boy) Hale, SR of Higginson along with his sons, Robert Guy (Sherry) Hale, JR of Pleasant Plains and Steven Hale of Greenwood, AR along with other nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, extended family and friends.

During her early years she moved a lot and attended public schools in many different places from Reseda, California, San Fernando, California, Kennsett, Arkansas and Wichita Falls, Texas and she saw the importance in getting her education. She was proud to complete her High School education when she received her GED in Austin, Texas which enabled her to work to help support raise her children. She was a member of the Doniphan Chicks.

Austin became home for Julie and her family and she put down roots there and became active in many areas of her life. She showed her faith as a young lady when she was baptized in the First Assembly of God Church of Austin, Texas. Julie was active in her church in many areas of service and found joy in each of them serving as a Greeter, Women's Ministry (WM) where she served as the President and worked with the children. She worked in the nursery and taught Children's Sunday School. The real joy came when she would bake cakes for church and even for the job for any and all events.

Mom was a talented lady and shared them with all. During her lifetime she worked as a Nurses Aide at White County Hospital in Searcy. She was the Manager/Cashier for Airport Haven, was an Insurance Clerk for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) which later became National Heritage Insurance Company (NHIC) both were in Austin, Texas.

She loved life and being with her family and friends. She always looked for things to do and loved to draw, sew, quilt, knitted and crochet when she had to stay inside, but she loved the outdoors. Fishing, squirrel hunting, working in her yard and flower beds and planting a garden each year were just a few of the things she really enjoyed.

With gratitude, the family of Julie Ann Goble would like to extend special thanks for the many acts of kindness shown during her illness. A special thanks to Elite Hospice, Searcy, AR and Home Instead Senior Care, Searcy, AR.

Visitation will be held at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 with the Funeral Service to follow at 2:00PM. Interment will be held at West Point Cemetery following the service.
