Georgianna Tonne, 83, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born on September 26, 1937, to the late George and Julie (Harwood) Moore in Springfield, Illinois.
Georgianna married Richard William Tonne on December 30, 1956, in Chatham, Illinois. She and Richard both worked at United Airlines for numerous years. She was a deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Mountain Home. She loved to travel, loved to cook and was a generous dog biscuit giver. Georgianna volunteered at Baxter Regional Medical Center for over 23 years. She was the most kind, caring, sweet, funny lady you would ever meet. She was an awesome neighbor, the glue that held us together and she will be forever loved and missed.
She is survived by two children, Stacie McCoy of Cherry Valley, Illinois and Steve Tonne of Fox River Grove, Illinois; three grandchildren: Travis Tonne, Danielle McCoy and Samantha McCoy; one great grandchild, T.J. McCoy; sister, Irma Kay of Arizona; friend and neighbor, Janice Adkins of Mountain Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, by her parents and one sister, Mary Jo.
The family would like to thank Carla and all of the staff at Baxter Retirement Village and to the staff at Hiram Shaddox Heath and Rehab, who cared so kindly and compassionately for her.
