Virtis Lee Alford, 75, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born March 15, 1945 in Elaine, Arkansas to the late Bertha and Harvey Alford.

He is survived by his son, Jeff Alford of West Helena, Arkansas; daughter, Vicky Taylor (John) of Helena, Arkansas; sister, Abura Dean Terry of Mountain Home, Arkansas; sister-n-law, Violet Newsom (Lenny); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Virginia Jones Alford; parents, Bertha and Harvey Alford; sister, Edra Mae Evans; five brothers, Thurman Earl Alford, Roland Alford, O'Neal Alford, Curtis Joe Alford and Olan Alford.

A graveside service for Mr. Virtis Alford will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas. Brother Marty Cantwell will officiate.

I knew Virtis we went to School at Elaine together, He was a Fine person on the Quiet side most of the time but well Mannered Good Person! He will be Missed!
