We had lost track of each other after mom died but he was my dad. I'm glad he found someone in recent years.

From Linda- Herman was my strep grandfather. He always had a horse for me (Big John) and was always ready to take me on trail ride. Great memories.

From Patrice- Lots of good memories in the Denny Road home when both Herman and my mother were healthy.
Ronnie, job well done. Our family has been so impressed with your compassion and love you have given for your dad. Lost your number. Mine is 512-312-1590.

From Joyce ~ Herman and Mother blended our families together and it enriched or families. We always had a lot of fun.

From Charles - One of my many favorite memories of Herman was when he bought a horse from a guy he did not know, the guy shows up with the horse in the trailer and backs the horse down the ramp, Herman looks at the horses teeth his feet and horseshoes, with a nod of approval he pays the guy, then the guy drives off. Herman then goes to put the horse in the stall and the horse refuses to move, Herman then learns all the horse will do is back-up. This has gotta be one of my favorite Herman stories. RIP.

From Chase- Herman was my step great grandfather. Thank you Herman for teaching me how to ride. RIP.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing MR. Belk long, but long enough to know he was one of a kind. Never complained and that smile lit my heart. He was a little bit of a flirt with the ladies even at 97 his eyes lit up when a pretty lady walked into the room. Always thankful. I will miss that smile and twinkle in your eye. Ride those horses in heaven, dance with the ladies. Love and prayers to the family. Linda
