Kaye,

We were so saddened to hear of Bill's sudden passing. He was truly a great man of God, and a friend to all who knew him. Tim has regaled me with several Bill Dillon stories over the recent days, as we have reminisced about the time we spent with you both. They are precious memories that we hold dear, and always bring a smile and make our hearts merry!

Love you,

Kaye, Mark and Maria I am so sorry and sad about Bill's passing but know he is with God. He preached my mom's and Jim's mom's funerals. I still have the elephant and basket he brought back from Africa. Will always treasure them. I love you and you will always have a special place in my heart.

Dear brother Dillon was such an insightful soul full of great compassion and understanding of the human heart and a love for the Lord. His lessons were always great and his easy going ways and family have been a blessing to so many. I am deeply saddened to have learned that his loved ones are without this great man. I am saddened for all of us who will not reap his fellowship and contagious love of God. But I am so thankful to know that our brother Bill Dillon is a saved soul of which we all so aspire to be. Prayers for Kaye, Mark, Maria and the rest of his family and the members of Cotter Church of Christ whom have a big empty spot for such as ‘Bill Dillon’ in their congregation.

Bill was a person who gave encouraging words to others when they needed strength. Matt, will always have a place in his heart for Bro. Bill. Kaye,
I always treasured my time with bill in church and in the office. He inspired me to be kind and joyful. My kids especially michael and lucas hold special memories of bill. Michael still treasures a gift from ghana bill personally brought to him.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and mark. You and bill have built a tent full of supporters so depend on them during this time. When a man leaves behind such a large group of trusted friends, he has done his purpose. We can say that Bill Dillon was a friend of God.

Kaye, I'm so saddened to hear of Bill's passing and I'm praying for you. You are the strongest woman I know. We are searching for a new preacher and I told someone just last week that every preacher I hear I compare to Bill because he was the gold standard. My heart is aching but also rejoicing because he is at peace and rest now with Jesus. Much prayer and love for you and Mark. I miss you. Denise Lindsey

Kaye,

Our hearts are breaking at the thought of Bill being gone and no longer preaching the gospel. He converted so many through his teachings. If it were not for Bro. Dillon (and Jeff who entertained the kids) I don’t know if Bo would have obeyed the gospel when he did. I will always be grateful for that. Years later we worshiped at the same congregation with Alan Pitchford and he and Bo discovered they were both baptized by Bill. It was a special bond they had. We are rejoicing over the reunion he’s having with Joey and Jeff. We are praying for you and Mark. We love you.

Kaye, I am so sorry for your and Marks loss but can you imagine what it was like for Bill to go to sleep in his own bed and wake up with God and Joey and Jeff! My husband had pancreatic cancer and during that 2 years before dying, Bill called often -sometimes weekly just to pray for him. I am going to miss those visits and good times we enjoyed. Always remember that you and Mark are much loved!

The last time that we saw Bill and Kaye, he was as he usually was, joking with servers and laughing through dinner. Very few can comprehend the heartbreaks they’ve both endured, but they endured together and continued to serve the Father and honor the lives and memories of their precious boys. Godspeed, Bill; what a glorious, joyful reunion you will have.

Bill was coming to Ghana yearly in the 1980s with three other American Missionaries. I was always at their meetings for the Preachers and it was a 'Yearly Look Up To'.

Bill really helped many preachers I know of. He was a true teacher of the Holy Bible, Inspiring, Benevolent a true Saint of God. There is way some of us will forget him.

The wife Kay and the family will be in our prayers.

I’m very saddened to learn of Bill’s death. But I’m very optimistic of his eternal dwelling. Bill was a great evangelist, teacher, student and friend. He taught me so many things as a young preacher in the short time that we were in the Paducah area together. I will always treasure his encouragement. Kaye, Mark and family—cherish the memories, trust in the Lord, find comfort in Him and His word.

KAY AND MARK AND FAMILY,
WE are so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. It is sad, but one thing for sure is that he has a place in heaven. He was a fine preacher of the word and taught the Bible as it is. He was a kind and pleasant man to be around. We cherish our friendship with him and the times we sat at the hospital with him for a person in surgery. May God give you comfort and guidance in this time of loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you as you endure the sadness of the time.
