Mazie Delane Phillips, 83, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on May 5, 1937 in Paris to her parents, Gordon Bethel and Winnie Wilma (Miller) Fairbanks.

Mazie was a homemaker who loved and cherished her family. She always enjoyed cooking, gardening and adding to her extensive owl collection. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Paris.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Bethel and Winnie Wilma (Miller) Fairbanks; her husband, Bobby Gene Phillips; two sons, Jerry Phillips and Ronald Phillips; one grandson, Justin Phillips; two sisters, Corene Hooper and Lorita Hayes and four brothers, Amon Fairbanks, Granvel Fairbanks, Wendell Fairbanks and Reese Fairbanks.

She is survived by her sons, David W. Phillips and wife Martha of Paris and Ricky A. Phillips of Paris; two sisters, Mogie Hawkins of Paris and Wilma Faye Rice of Van Buren; one brother, Billy Fairbanks and wife Barbara of Magazine; 8 grandchildren, David Owen Phillips, Becca Clarke, Rayburn Phillips, Evan Phillips, Candace Case, Shane Phillips, Chad Phillips, Rachelle Phillips and 23 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Paint Rock Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

I am saddened to hear of Aunt Mazie’s passing, I loved her so much and enjoyed our Christmas card exchange. She was such a sweet and loving person and I always enjoyed talking to her.
